BengalszoneBilly
It will be my first opportunity to see the Bengals live on TV this preseason, and I'm hoping to see enough improvement on both sides of the ball to make me lose my panic button sig pic. The 3 major things I'm hoping/praying to see, and none of them include anything about winning a meaningless preseason game:#1: Better coverage by the defensive backs.#2: More pressure on their QB.#3: The offense being able to punch it in when down in the Red Zone. Enough field goals already.

Stripes
I'd like to see Palmer and Tab get in synch soon. The starting defensive line should continue to play well. The secondary will have a chance to make some plays against Joey Harrington, so I don't want to see them struggle again.
delhole
I'd like not to hear the MNF crew talk about Vick the entire game, but it's inevitable I suppose
chrishcovga
As you all know, I live in the Atlanta Area. However I refuse to go and see the team tonight. I've been to the dome twice over the last 5 seasons to see our Boys play the Falcons, and both times we've been waxed all over the field.- '02 saw Kitna take over for a terrible Gus Ferrotte, and he was just as terrible.- '04 preseason, saw Cincy's first team defense get riddled by a rookie quarterback named Matt Schaub, and overall the team looked lethargic.** So this year I'm not even going to watch the game. Preseason or not, I find it too hard to watch our team lose. As for what I hope happens tonight, let's think the Packers game last year. I want to see the first team whoop the Falcons first team for 2 quarters, and then let the backups do their jobs.
HairOnFire
Almost every season the 3rd preseason game is the only one I'm interested in, and this year is no different. That said, I couldn't care less if they win or lose. Put me in the camp that is most interested in seeing better timing demonstrated between the QB's and the players filling the 3rd wideout role. It's not that I'm overly worried about that spot, but the Bengals clearly viewed getting Tab Perry on track as a priority last week and as a result I'd like to see them have greater success. On defense, a strong showing from Frostee Rucker would be much appreciated. I'll also focus on Lemar Marshall and Ahmad Brooks, as well as the Kiddie Korp secondary. HoosierCat
On offense, all I really want to see is our 100 bazillion dollar O punch it into the end zone once against Atlanta's defensive starters. From an offensive personnel standpoint, I'll be watching the usuals: Andrews, Koo, Bluto, Tab, and whoever is behind Kelly at TE.Sounds like we'll see some Levi with the second team, that's obviously of interest to see if the knee braces are hampering him at all.On defense, I'd be happy with a performance like they put on vs. the Lions' starters. We'll probably get a look at Marshall. Geathers hasn't been in practice all week so I expect he'll sit; we may see some Frostee, or perhaps they will line Brooks up at DE some. Obviously, I am interested in how JJoe looks. membengal
Good lists, not much to add. Obviously, excited to see it live. Would like to see:---Palmer to be in sync with Tab would be nice to see.---More offensive consistency inside the 30-yard-line.---Blitzes from the first string D that actually bring pressure.---Brooks to look more certain in his reads and actually attack the play.---Hoping J Joe looks healthy and that the secondary plays tighter coverage. combatbengal
I'd like to see what our starters can do for about a quarter. Then rest them and keep them safe from injury. Once again we aren't game planning and are running basic plays. Things I'd like to see the most.- DB's covering better.- Def, tackling.- Def, gang tackling.- Def, run shut down. hrod382
What I want to see...Ahmad playing faster, no need to overthink things... He needs to rely on his instincts a little more.Secondary showing they can at least no leave guys completely wide open in zone. I want to see Hall/Ndukwe and White (he is playing I assume? Never heard much on his injury).Only thing on offense I'm really concerned with is seeing Tab/Carson hooking up better, everything else will take care of itself. I am interested to see if Coats plays well again, I really liked what I saw last week.
agreen_112
I want to see more of Palmer airing it out. I wouldn't mind seeing Palmer throw a bomb sometime during the very first 3 plays of the first drive. I want to see if Tab can run a streak and come up with a grap for a big gain. falconfancincy
I am looking forward to this game as well. I am a Falcons fan who moved to Florence KY 5 years ago and I am looking forward to seeing if Harrington can be an effective QB. I will not judge him for his time in Detroit because what QB has been worth a crap in that organization? I find it funny that for the last couple years everyone has told me how much Michael Vick sucked as a QB, but yet many here have us finishing last in our division. I have a feeling that many would have put us as the #2 team or #3 in our division. I am not a Vick fan and always felt that he is a great athlete, but I recognized that he would never be able to take us to the next level. I hope you guys don't mind me popping in here every now and then and my goal is not to bash the Bengals. I have actually picked up the Bengals as my 2nd favorite team. I am very excited to watch this game tonight because it will be the first time this preseason that I will be able to see my Falcons live. Also, I was wondering why my user name is smitty. I chose falconfanincincy as my user name and my password as smitty. Could one of the Mods or Admin answer this question? Thanks guys and I look forward to talking some football and join you guys in bashing the Squealers (Steelers).
HoosierCat
Welcome smitty. Now that you told everyone your password, you're probably going to want to change it!There should be an option in the user controls to change your screen name (though if you sign in you have to use your original one). I think you can only change screen names once a year.

Yes, lets definitely hope for an injury free game. I will galdly take a loss for an injury free game.BTW, if anyone is interested in dropping in on my teams site, the site is www.falconsroost.com It has been pretty active lately due to the Vick soap opera. You will have to sign up for a user name and password first, because we had a 12 year old girl posing as the daughter of Paul Petrino (Bobby's brother/WR coach) and the admins decided that they would require users be registered due to legal concerns. I will galdly take a loss for an injury free game.Yeah, you and most Bengal fans, too. Regarding injuries, this year is already teh suck for us. Cincy's had one guy kicked to IR per game so far and I'd rather not see a third...or fourth for that matter.Sorry about the Vick mess. As a dog lover I can't say a good word about him, but as a fan of a team that had no QB worth crap for about 10 straight years, I feel for Falcons fans these days. kenyon1977
What I want to see tonight?I want to see Harrington on his back about 6 times, and pulled out of the game for his safety.I want to see CJ and Palmer hook up at least once to give us some damn hope.I can't remember the last time I saw the Bengals run a kick back for a TD.I want to see Dunn get hit in the hole so hard he admits to dogfighting after the game.Lots of cheerleaders in HD!!!Hooooohooooooooos, drink.
