membengal
Thought this deserved its own stand alone thread. Since the Kenton County prosecutors saw fit to besmirch him on Monday, it's the least we can do.Good news, Chris. Hope you are able to continue getting your life in order. And I hope the grandstanding sons of bitches in Northern KY step back and let that happen.

And yes, this *one arsehole* screwed up big time. But let's not blame the residents of three entire counties, OK?

slf
I suspect the prosecutor is keeping silent until the official results from the Kentucky Alternative Program drug test. KAP administers the test for Kenton County, and their final reuslts are not in. The negative result is from a different test, administered by Ky State Division of Probation & Parole (which are done for the Florida Division of Probation and Parole, not Kenton County). Just the same, if he passed the state test, it is highly unlikely he failed the other, and even if he did, the negative would be a good way to impeach the positive (hmm, which test was done first?). I suspect the state test was done last, or the lawyers would not be so confident.

I would think that Mr. Henry has this guy by the shorthairs - If there's any doubt as to whether or not this prosecutors action caused harm, the attorney for Chris Henry could submit some of the threads posted here in the 'zone this past week, as well as some of the national media.Hah! And I thought PFT was bad . . .
hrod382
What a joke. Seriously, why did they have to release the info so early? In who's best interest was this? The media is the only group that could possibly benefit from it.Terrible job by our prosecutors.

Judge
Well, it make's us look bad, you tell everyone he failed a drug test and stuff, it just get's more attention on Henry, and that's what he doesn't want.
membengal
Well, DC, I modified Northern KY sumbitches with "grandstanding", so presuming you are not "grandstanding", no need to worry that I have besmirched the residents of those counties. I am besmirching the DA. He's a dick.
blueridge
This is good news, indeed. However, the past few days could not make it any more clear that the third-rate prosecutors in Kentucky are out to get Henry and will look for any excuse to revoke his probation. For allowing minors to drink beer in a motel room! What b***s***.
MacD BengalFan
That's putting it mildly, more like what racist a**h***s trying to ruin someone's life they are for releasing false information.I do not believe it is some racist jerk wanting to ruin someone's life as you elude to. I think it might be someone jumping the gun because of Chris's reputation for getting into trouble. I.E. guilty by proxy. Henry has been arrested so many times in the past year, the individual who released the false information probably felt that Chris Henry was guilty regardless of the true results of the test. The hope is that this individual is disciplined by the appropriate authority to prevent something like this from happening in the future. The hope is that this individual is disciplined by the appropriate authority to prevent something like this from happening in the future.Well considering that if Henry had indeed failed the drug test he would have gone to jail for 3 months, likely had his 8 game suspension extended to God knows how long, maybe permanetly as Goodell said this was his final warning. Chris Henry doesn't have a college degree and his main way of providing income for him and his family is by playing football, if he had failed that drug test then playing football in the NFL wouldn't be an option for at least this year. When DA went to media with a false report he was effectively trying to end Henry's NFL career, which might not be a big deal to him but I'm sure Henry and his family would have a problem with that. The DA is in a position of great responsibility, he can't go public with information that directly effect individuals lives and careers unless it is 100% accurate. This DA in question failed miserably in his job and should be punished just like Henry would have been punished had the DA's info been accurate. The question is why is Kenton County DA's office in such a rush to throw Henry behind bars, I say it reeks of racism. Some people may not feel comfortable with a young, rich, black man with a quiet demeanor(he's not smiling and joking all the time like CJ) who came from one of the worst ghettos in America(N.O.'s inner cities are known as the murder capitial of USA) living in their community. Is it really a stretch to think that their might be some prejudice towards Henry because of his appearance, by the look of him he could easily be from O.T.R or somewhere like that. But just because that is what people see when they see him doesn't mean he has to change, it's peoples views that have to change.
ArmyBengal
Let me just say, it's nice to see the Bengals fans of this site be able to admit this situation is F*CKED up, regardless of your opinion of Henry and wish him well in getting his life back together. You don't have to like him as a person or even a player for that matter, but the Bengals need Henry at this point and I for one, am glad to see this resolved in his favor !!!WHODEY !!!
