DuffMan Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 What about Melvin Bullit, S Texas A&M? Could have some upside.
HoosierCat Posted April 29, 2007 Author Report Posted April 29, 2007 Reading the tea leaves, the bengals were apparently set to pick Durant or Woodley had they been there in the second. So it sounds to me like they are looking for LB help, which they ought to be, and may jump that way this round (Blades, Siler, Everett, Alexander, etc.). I'll put my token on Blades.Blades runs like he has concrete shoes...there is no place in Marvin's defense for slow LB's. Marvin will take an undersized fast LB over a slow big LB any day. That's why he liked Durant so much. Brandon Siler (4.67) fits that mold the best, but I still like Everett (4.88) because of his versatility and the defense he came from.Just to be clear, I'm not pimping Blades, just looking for a guy who would probably still be there...Soliai gone...
membengal Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 Hope Antonio Pittman enjoys sitting, going to the Saints, good lord. He's behind Bush and McAllister...
kurgan74 Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 Bullitt is a beast of a run stuffer (a larger version of Bob Sanders). His coverage skills are somewhat questionable.
Kirkendall Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 Good morning fellas... it's a great morning to be a Bengals fan.
rishipatel Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 I think some considerations are Siler, Ben Patrick, and Rufus Alexander. But I have a funny feeling that they really like Zak DeOssie. So I'll pick DeOssie for this round. If he's gone, then Siler.
ArmyBengal Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 Get your picks in, we are getting close !!!WHODEY !!!
kingwilly Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 Hope Antonio Pittman enjoys sitting, going to the Saints, good lord. He's behind Bush and McAllister...that was a bad pick for the Saints. For the Bengals in the 4th, Barnes does intrigue as most of my other choices are now gone.We could go S as well.
alleycat Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 I'm not sold on safety this early. I think we are already grooming a super athletic safety: ethan kilmer...I do find Barnes intriguing on a numbers level...
Whur CHad At? Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 Brandon Siler.....but Marvin is gonna suprise us. If Irons was the highest rated player for us in rd 2..then i cant imagine who it will be for rd 4
TJJackson Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 Wendling or Free, Barnes as the dark horse
alleycat Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 Whoever we pick, the last few years guarantee us it will be a surprise that none of us saw coming...
Whur CHad At? Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 And of course ESPN cuts to commerial and removes their draft status thing. Only time they do it!
membengal Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 Steelers fans have to be annoyed, there draft has been uneven at best. At best.My official prediction? Tim Shaw, OLB, from Penn State...
