NEVER!How do you define quitting? TKO wanted to go to a team that had a winning record in the last 15 years. If you want a quitter, try looking at your avatar. How many times did Henry give little to no effort down the stretch on important plays. But he's got street cred... so it's okay.I don't want TKO back because he's old, not a quitter. Don't you remember dude? He freaking quit trying man! TKO didn't care to be here, he didn't care to win and he didn't care to play. He gave half-hearted energy at the end of the stretch. So I wouldn't care if he ever played another day in his life! No way will MB let that quitting bastard back on the team. Quitters get what they deserve... Henry's not a quitter? You're a damn fool! Look at the stats... The last time I checked he lead the team in TD's with Housh and had more than CJ... You can call it quitting on a play all you want, I call it learning. It was his 2nd season dummy! We take back TKO, we have NO heart, no dignity!

Personally, I have no ill will. If he can stop the run and improve this defense, I say bring him in. To go one further, I say bring anyone in that would help the team. But that's me. I just want to win. Discuss.

Kirkendall
Henry never quit!!!I'm trying to figure out if that's a joke, or you don't read the beat reporters notes, or you don't listen/watch the games. He's not saying that based on opinion, but in almost unanimous fashion Henry's effort (i.e. quitting) has been largely in question.

I'll tell you what he did do, and that was not going up for a ball that was too far out of reach to not injure himself. Palmer can't throw every ball perfect! I swear, some of you assclowns just make up s**t becuase you don't like a guy... That's the kind of class that some of you conservative right winged cincinnatians have... I don't understand how you can knock a guy and call him a quitter, when he leads the team in TD's? That absolutely blows me away... I mean c'mon, we're talking about a guy that is on our team. I could understand the hate if he wasn't on the team and a guy like me was defending him, but it's not, he's on our f**king team and idiots like you guys still knock the most productive TD catcher we had last season... Thats' f**king STUPID.

Thats' f**king STUPID.Following your line of thinking... show me somewhere that another player called TKO a quitter. That is hardly convincing evidence. Teammates not named T.O. don't do that crap.Now... if you want some actual evidence that teammates thought Henry quit on the field, go back to the game we lost in Baltimore. At the end of the game Palmer threw a pass that Henry didn't give the slightest bit of interest in going up for. You can argue it wasn't a perfect pass... fine, but Palmer tore into his ass like I've never seen before. Palmer is the coolest most level headed QB I've ever seen, and he was pissed off! I've never seen him like that before, and the reason is, he's never had a player, in the NFL or in college, so blatantly give up on a play... especially when a great play could have won us the game. But no... he didn't quit. I'll bet he was just tired.Henry did quit and was unwilling to go for the ball multiple times last year. Everyone compares his physical ability to Randy Moss... but he's got some of Moss's more charming personality traits as well. It has nothing to do with fans not liking him. I like him just fine... but I'd really like to see him give he kind of effort that Housh does. But the fact is... he just doesn't.P.S. This is supposed to be about TKO, so an obligatory comment on the subject: I'd welcome him back if Marvin thought it would help us win. I'm with Kirk there. Way to defend your p***y quitting boy. I'm sure he's proud to have you represent him. You continue:some of you assclowns just make up s**t becuase you don't like a guyBut you just said he quit because he didn't want to injury himself. You called him a p***y. You continue:that's the kind of class that some of you conservative right winged cincinnatians haveWell, since you figure 2+2 = 5, there's got to be some connection there somewhere, right? Anyway, if the alternative is someone like you, then I'd rather be Dick Cheney. You continue:I mean c'mon, we're talking about a guy that is on our team.Careful. You're setting a standard that you can not criticize a single player on this team. You might lose credibility in your posts. Oh wait... You continue:I could understand the hate if he wasn't on the team and a guy like me was defending himWell, now your the one making things up, aren't you? I've constantly said Henry is the best #3 WR in the NFL. He's the reason why we don't need a top-tier TE in the league because of his advantage in match-ups. The question is, can you depend on him (on the field, off the field). Someone should run a poll, because I'm sure many can't depend on him. In fact, why don't you lead the charge? But do it with a little class. That way someone out there just might read something you write and not think you're an idiot. You continue:he's on our f**king team and idiots like you guys still knock the most productive TD catcher we had last season... Man, you're a T.J. hater, aren't you? I can't believe it. How do you hate T.J.? He too was tied with the team in TD receptions. I can't believe it that you wouldn't include him. THAT BLOWS ME AWAY.Read others saying the same thing...http://forums.bengalszone.com/index.php?sh...;hl=chris+henryThe beloved Peter King said the same:Goat of the Week (tie)Chris Henry, WR, Cincinnati. Dogged it on a Hail Mary at the end of the game against the Ravens that Chris McAlister intercepted. Would the Bengals have come back from the 26-20 deficit and beaten Baltimore? Probably not. But Henry quit on the route, pure and simple. Disgraceful.Or from a Sporting News Blog.Chris Henry, recently back from suspension, decided not to even try to catch a pass near the end of the game. Carson Palmer had a heated discussion with Henry after his non-attempt.What about Lonnie Wheeler?Chris Henry, the frequently arrested receiver and reluctant practitioner of rugged catches. What about Carson Palmer?"He dropped balls, but everybody drops balls. ... There are obviously a number of plays I'm sure he wishes he could have back. There are plays every receiver in this league wishes they could have back." If that doesn't help guide your way to understanding why others are calling him a quitter at times, start watching the games. Read an article that's not in the comics section. Do something that's productive -- like writing posts that people actually are interested in that's not reflective of a bad day in MySpace. Or better yet, just go away.
