BengalPimp
How can you not be optimistic? Seriously, the Jets are garbage, The Jags have injuries, and I am not scared by a team that lost to buffalo, and Twice to Houston. Denver has stunk it up lately, and now they're benching Plummer to play a rookie QB, definately not a good sign. KC is about to self destruct, Green gets hurt, Huard steps in, they get hot, start winning, Green gets healthy, they bench Huard, and they Lose....what happens if they lose the next one with Green as well? they'll put in Huard again? can you say QB controversy? We might have our share of obstacles to overcome, but so those other teams, and quite honestly, I believe we are a better and much more talented team, not to mention, we've been pretty hot the last couple of weeks.....Momentum baby momentum
Stripes
I'm fairly certain the Chiefs are 2-0 with Green back in.
cincyhokie
I'm fairly certain the Chiefs are 2-0 with Green back in.The good news is that we have the tie breaker vs. the Chiefs. You have to almost hope the Ravens beat KC next week as it looks pretty slim that we're going to take the division.
BengalPimp
I'm fairly certain the Chiefs are 2-0 with Green back in.My bad..you were right, damn Raiders, they had KC beat, and then KC scores a go-ahead TD with 1:54 left in the game, damn Raiders
membengal
I'm fairly certain the Chiefs are 2-0 with Green back in.Both home wins. They can still be had. And one of those home wins was a game that they should have lost to the Raiders.
HoosierCat
Well, I think that only a Blind Homer could be "optomistic" about our playoff chances at this point. But that said, it should be noted that as of this week, the Bengals have been given a second chance. Their two straight wins, combined with Denver's two straight losses, means that Cincy once again controls its playoff destiny. If they win out, that would include a win against the Broncos, and that would mean that the best Denver could finish would be 11-5 -- and they would lose the head-to-head tiebreaker with us.Winning out would also mean the Bengals end with a better AFC record than either the Jets or Jags, so any ties, again, go to us.They got the help they needed. Now they need to make the most of it. At this point in the season, its unlikely they'll get a third chance if they screw this one up.Just win, baby. derekshank
Yep. It's nice to once again control our own destiny. The unfortunate side of it is the schedule we have to play to do it. We didn't take advantage of games we should have won earlier in the season, and it has forced us to win games that we knew would be tough.Optimism is rising... because we're playing better, and got the help we needed. But I'm not so sure we'll get much more help from this point on, as KC, Denver, and the Jets all appear to have an advantage on us (either in schedule, or in current record). We've got to play ourselves into the playoffs. No more asking for help.
