ShulaSteakhouse
Perry's starting today and Rudi is not, due to Rudi being late to a meeting.
7/11
yup, today we'll finally get to see CP23 carry the ball for a few drives, probably. since he's gotten here, we haven't see him get more than two or three snaps in a row. i'm excited to see what he can do while in the flow of the game, and not just a situational back. Stripes
Perry played well for what little time he was involved... Keep him out there returning kicks.
DontPushMe
Your scream may have been loud enough to mask the sound of my TV remote control being hurled through the glass pane of window nearest me when said pick was announced - this mere moments after I was so ECSTATIC that they had traded down and picked up a r4 pick (which would become Robert Geathers).I likely could not hear you over my own pained shrieks of OH GOD NO! NO! OH PLEASE GOD NO!Clearly not the very worst Bengals r1 pick ever - there are plenty of more suitable candidates - but quite bad nonetheless...and besides, your beloved Cardinals got the pick we really needed at the time....Auburn linebacker Karlos Dansby...so your pain was muted....mine was not.Did you shout "Get mike brown out of the draft room" when they drafted Perry? Pretty moronic observation. It's really quite simple...every time Chris Perry is on the field offensively it takes away the opportunity for a truer playmaker to make plays. And that means Chad, Housh, Henry and Rudi...But especially Rudi.

Yes, even more important than Chris Perry!

And that means Chad, Housh, Henry and Rudi...But especially Rudi.HA.....HA....HA youre dumb.....Perry was a lot more valuable than one of your "true playmakers" Henry...HENRY for the 2nd week in a row, was absent for most of the game (last week didnt catch a pass 'till 10 seconds left in the 3rd QTR) this wee didnt catch a pass until 21 seconds left in the half, finishing with 2 catches for 18 yards..............AND MOST IMPORTANTLY HENRY FOR THE 2ND WEEK IN A ROW WAS GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY TO "MAKE A BIG PLAY" ON WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN EITHER GAME-TYING OR GAME-WINNING DRIVES AND FOR THE 2ND WEEK IN A ROW HE SHOWED HE DEFINATELY CANNOT BE COUNTED ON IN THE CLUTCH, NOT EVEN GOING FOR THE BALL, LETTING IT GET INTERCEPTED LAST WEEK......AND UNFORGIVABLY DROPPING THAT BALL IN THE END ZONE(THAT WITH A 2PT CONVERSION WOULD HAVE TIED IT UP) WHEN CARSON PALMER PUT THE BALL IN HIS HANDS......SO IF YOU WANT TO MENTION PLAYMAKERS.......AT LEAST FOR THE TIME BEING....YOU NEED TO REMOVE CHRIS HENRY.....CHRIS HENRY......NOT PERRY...FROM THAT PLAYMAKER LIST.. Stripes
Perry didn't really get many chances to produce today, but he did play well for the most part. He was excellent returning kicks, and did the job running the ball in the first drive.I'm not a Perry fan either, but there's no reason to bitch about him this time. agreen_112
All I have to say is Tjack your a freaking IDIOT! Perry's a solid back and he works hard as hell. Still not good enough to be #1 on this team but he's definitely a SOLID, let me repeat, SOLID back. Perry had a lot to do with the offense's success this week with his gains and effort to get that extra yard. He gives 110% on every play. Not great, but OK.Doesn't change the fact that he sucked mightily last week. Finally, many thanks for calling me an idiot. It is a great pleasure to have posters such as yourself, DPM, and other board "luminaries" - who have thrilled us all countless times with your utter and complete dullwittedness - question my intellect, manhood, and/or humanity. agreen_112
Yeah, he produced at Baltimore, he sure did *laff*Do you really understand football? Have you ever even played football? I really don't think you have... He's not going to be a stud every freaking week geeker. You must be refering to the fumble on one of his first career returns. This proves your knowledge of the game is a non-factor. Your going to get that when you put someone in a new position, he's human and he's going to make a mistake here and there (It is part of the learning process). I'd rather see a mistake halfway into the season, rather than in the playoffs....

He was touted as "the answer" on 3rd down. "Scary", some called him. We're currently converting 32.7% on 3rd down. How many 3rd down conversions has he been in on this year?Maybe he'll have a fine career. But he has certainly gotten it off to an underwhelming start. TJJackson
Just doublechecking - a great 3rd down back is supposed to produce as a receiver?if so......would 3 catches for minus 1 yards be considered good production? I have been informed that I am a moron, so I leave it to others to decide if they would consider this good production.http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/live/NFL_20061112_SD@CIN

Answer the question: Have you ever played football? I guess it's Perry's fault for the -1 yard. Your all about statistics, which in some cases, are really misleading. Example, Who throws for 440 yards and 4 TD's and loses the game? Better yet, 260 yards recieving and 2 TD's and a loss. You can throw all the statistics you want out there dude, but please bring some heat.

BengalszoneBilly
IMHO Perry played his best game as a Bengal yesterday, but it was obvious to me that Rudi is the better running back. He was running through tackles while Perry was being thrown to the ground with one arm. The biggest shocker? That tackle he got JACKED UP on after catching the pass and was not injured!! TJJackson
Well, you have to like a 10 yards per carry average (1 carry, 10 yards) but I rather doubt that earns his nfl 3rd year min salary and amoritized portion of his signing bonushttp://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/live/NFL_20061126_CIN@CLEStill, he's One Carry Perry again, and thank god he is gone for the season. Elsewhere, someone indicated they'd trade him for a roll of laundry quarters. I'll settle for one of the single-load mini-boxes of detergent sold at a coin-op laundromat, myself.Give his salary to Kesviharn, I say. Or to Kilmer. Those men are earning their min salaries and then some.

Another one of our players is out for the season and all you have to do is knock the guy. You know what they can ban me from the board, your a real piece of s**t! Someone should slap the s**t out of you! Perry's a beast, it's not his fault someone tackles him behind the back and wraps up his leg. You can't control that from happening. Go kick your dog you piece of s**t!
walzav29
I feel bad for Perry. I also felt bad for Kijana Carter. These guys aren't trying to get hurt they just do. There are some guys that just get hurt all of the time. They are mush's. It's too bad, but as soon as tehy can get rid of him they should. I wish him well in the future. I wish him well in the future.I think he is this generation's version of KiJana Carter. I don't think we will ever know how good of a player he could be. The only difference is that this is a team now and one guy isn't going to do it all like KiJana was expected to. I do still wonder about passing on Steven Jackson or maybe a d-lineman but that's hindsight.
walzav29
I really don't like Jackson. I wouldn't take him over Rudi. A D-linemen has been needed now for 40 years, but in theory the possibilities with Chris Perry would have been a nice addition for this ofense, but it's not to be. I have ZERO expectations for him.
