bengalspride1219
Sure, the Bengals lost a tough game today in Baltimore against one of the toughest defenses in the league. But don't forget that the Ravens have some very tough games coming up against Atlanta, the Chiefs in Kansas City, our Bengals...this time in the Jungle, and the Steelers TWICE! They could easily go 1-4 in those games alone, so I just don't feel that .500 is out of contention for the playoffs. Not yet. (Yes...I realize we have a tough schedule ahead. I hope this loss pisses off the rest of the team as much as it pissed off T.J.!)even if they did go 1-4 .....we would need to go 4-1 in those same weeks to be in 1st place......hole dug3-2.were 2 games backif we win our final game well be 1-1 with themif u say they go 1-4 thats one division loss to the steelers.theyll have 2 losses in their division well have one.we can still win this divisino
PMThor
We were down 17-0 at one point in this game. We could have just packed it in and called it a day.Did they though? Hell no. HELL NO. They stepped up and had a chance to win the game at the end of regulation. They fought and played hard against probably the best defensive team in the league. They very nearly overcame a horrible start, losing time of possession by nearly double, giving up three turnovers...And we still nearly won today. This team may be struggling right now. But they aren't that bad. In fact, the potential for greatness is there. One game at a time from here on out.Who cares about our schedule? Every Sunday it is the Bengals vs. one team, not the Bengals vs. the entire schedule. They can still do this, and I am not a Chicken Little. The sky is not falling.WHO DEY

This team has the second best home record to so cept for those 2 turnovers early we put it to them for the most part.

DaveShula
People are happy because the team ALMOST won after being down 17-0.This isn't pee wee football. No real fan should care about "effort". I'd rather win ugly than lose pretty.Only fans of losing teams going nowhere care about "moral" victories.Moral victories don't get you into the playoffs. I'm a fan of a losing team and have been for years. We go 0-16 next year and I'll still be a fan of a losing team. We never win another game and I'll still be a fan of a losing team. I'm not happy when we lose but I am a fan. Every real fan should care about the effort their team lays on the field. After years of watching crappy Bengal's football where it seemed like no one was even trying to win a game half the time, effort itself makes me giddy with f**king delight. If a real fan cares only about the record at the end of the year, then I guess you should switch teams every year. So, with sincere appreciation of your right to say what ever you want, kindly f**k off.

HoosierCat
World hasen't ended still hope for wildcard spot but if we don't beat chargers then hit the panic buttonYeah, the Denver and SD games just became huge.Right now I think the 2 WC teams would be the Chargers (6-2) and Jaguars (5-3). Then outside looking in is KC (5-3), then us and the Jets, both 4-4.
AGrizzlyBaer
the only thing that really bugs me is that carsons throws are just floating a bit on him. it seems like it is a foot or two above the wr. i wonder if not have the offseason to get the reps and familiarity down is what is hurting him? He isn't stepping up, planting and throwing like he was in '05. Instead, he's making a lot of throws falling away from the o-line. So you get these high and floating throws -- and you keep seeing Chad & Co. go way up for them and get obliterated by DBs in mid-air.Some of it's certainly the knee and Palmer's desire not to hurt it. But it's also on the o-line. You have to have confidence that you'll be protected if you step up, plant and throw, and right now he is on course for a 46-sack season. I am not happy with a moral victory either. I want wins. But all is not lost yet. And yes, I am a real fan. It is not that bad yet. We can still turn this around. The end is not here yet. JaxonFord87
In the offseason, we were hoping that we could manage to get at least 8-8. That was with the thought that palmer would not be playing the entire season. It seems as though just because palmer started every game this season, that he was going to be his same self as a year ago. Even with palmer being healthy, our offensive line isn't as good with all the injuries. To be honest, if we can get everyone healthy by the end of this year and get 8-8, i will be happy with this season. Palmer needed to play this season so he can play better next year. I will make the prediction now, that next year we win at least 10 games (baring any major injuries).
Stripes
The Dolphins just beat the Bears in Chicago. The NFL is never predictable, and I wouldn't be surprised in the least to see the Bengals go 6-2 down the stretch to finish 10-6. Screw next year.If we lose to San Diego and/or New Orleans, the Fat Lady will be tuning up though.
Kazkal
Aye to overcome the amount of injurys at importent injurys is hard...would been nice though to atleast make a push in the playoffs or get the onor of knocking the colts out

The second is that we need this for tiebreaker purposes for any wild card scenarios.
