I actually voted for Whitworth because I thought he looked great against a tough Panthers front four.

I don't know, I thought the 1 sack they had on Palmer was Whitworth's fault as he didn't see the LB running the delayed stunt. Both Palmer and Whitworth missed it. He had good 2nd/4th quarters though

I voted for Brooks. Looked like a future monster. Geathers also had a solid game.

I chose Rudi, because his running was needed to get that offense going.

But I think the real hero's are today are the defense and the tight ends. The defense was on the field a ton, and kept us in the game against a very good offense. Semi-containing Smith and stopping the run was huge (as well as K2 interception at the end).

Also, the tight ends bailed us out. Reggie Kelly kept us in the first half, and both helped get the offense started in the second.

Actually the sack on Palmer was because Reggie Kelly was going against Rucker. It was a stupid assignment... but Whitworth blocked his man well on that play.

That said... I think the game ball has to go to someone on defense. They played absolutely incredibly in the 2nd half... and Madieu was everywhere...again, so I voted his way.

True. I haven't been this happy with the defense in a long, long time. Kudo's Bresnahan. You did your job making adjustments today. Smith was a handful to cover,but he's like that to ALL the teams. Not just us.

That should be 240 yards for Palmer, not 140. And, he got my vote. Didn't force things, made big throws, and you can see the timing starting to get there.

Mini game ball to Brat for emphasizing the TEs again...

Rudi stayed back and blocked absolutely nobody on the only sack that I saw. Pressure came from the outside and Rudi blocked nothing on the inside. Whitworth was blocking Rucker on that play and he blocked him perfectly. Whitworth gets the game ball w/ Palmer coming a close second. K2 had a big play but that was a horrible pass that was thrown right at K2. Madieu was all over the field and Ahmad looks like a keeper. Odells days are numbered at middle linebacker. Chatman looks like the good return man that we've been missing since Warrick. Great day to be a Bengals fan. Who-Dey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Rudi took over the game when we needed it the most and gave the confidence back to an offense that seemed to be having it's problems. I also think the defense gets a lot of credit today with a starting LB corps that scared teh hell out of me when I first saw it. KK had a solid game and an absolutely HUGE INT in the endzone. Is it just me, or did we make some very good adjustments coming into the second half ?? Great game all around !!!
