These guy's and their comments, like this one from the ESPN:

Marvin Lewis said Odell Thurman's DUI arrest 'is not going to affect our football team.' That might be true, but at some point all the off-field issues are going to bite the Bengals.

Oh really? So far the only one who's been remotely right about the effects on the team concerning off field issues with individual Bengals players has been Marvin. He has consistently said there wouldn't be any, and judging by the 3-0 start...you just can't argue with those results! :sure:

One side note...I think ranking Pittsburgh at #15 is a bit too high, don't you guys?

True. OTOH, espn will likely be right is all those off-field issues start translating into more and/or longer suspensions.

Anyhow, fox agrees: No. 2:

Not that they really know what they are talking about... but Tony and Wilbon on PTI talked about which team is better... the Colts or the Bengals. They both said basically "It's a coin flip. They are the 2 best teams in the NFL, and are probably going to be the AFC Championship game."

It's just nice to be hearing the Bengals get this much respect.

And, finally si.com is up (Paul Zimmerman's, actually), and for the first time ever since these kinds of rankings came into vogue, well, the Bengals are at #1. Seriously.

Holy Shamoly. I've never seen Bengals and #1 before. It just brought a tear to my eye.

Zimmerman has the Bengals #1???

That is the shock of the century....Well just behind Peter King having them #1, which will never happen unless they win the SB....

If any of you remember my post from last week, I complained about Dr. Z devoting an unnecessary amount of time to talking about the Steelers and being scared about Big Ben getting hit. I labeled him a wussy Steelers fan.

Well...

Bengals ranked #1 in his rankings this week.

I'll swallow my pride and say a big WHO DEY!
