agreen_112
All the more reason why we need Odell back Oct. 15. Simmons, Odell, and Johnson are the best combo we have no matter which way you look at it. There isn't any other rookie on this squad that will have the impact that Odell had last year. derekshank
I wonder how Brooks is doing in his development. He's currently listed as the back-up. He played against Pittsburgh... but I don't remember seeing him. Maybe it was just ST's. Anyway... Caleb would probably get the start at this point in the season if Jeanty were to go down, but we would need Brooks to get ready quick. That said... no worries. Jeanty will play. AMC
Odds are Jeanty will play.......But I would like to see more of Miller. Look for Brooks to hit his stride the 2nd half of the season IMO.Odell = nonfactor...

Stripes
I only recall seeing Brooks in kick coverage. I doubt he'll make a noticeable impact anytime soon.

Kazkal
I'm more then fine with caleb starting hes been playing fine, wow odell got his suspension before his court date? they can do that?almer said. “At some point you’re not going to get a second chance, third chance, a fourth chance. ... I love carson, but bit of a hypocrit for someone defending henry because hes one of his weapons but then turns around and says that about odell. membengal
Odell's one year suspension is now official. I would say Palmer is absolutely 100% correct. At some point you will stop getting extra chances, and Thurman is at that point. Henry has not yet reached that point, but may very well shortly if he doesn't cut this s**t out... membengal
There is no double standard. Odell got himself into the NFL's substance abuse program, and f**ked up twice. That buys you a one year vacation.Henry, either isn't in that program or has not run afoul of it while in it.It's all about context... ShulaSteakhouse
Yep. The NFL takes it's substance abuse policy quite seriously.Odell was probably mandated to not drink alcohol while on suspension, or not able to be involved in any sort of alcohol or substance related arrest. Odell had his chance and screwed it up - plain and simple. He was also late for meetings etc.., last year. The guy is just an immature moron. He needs to grow up and get his life together.Henry's troubles were all off of the field - luckily enough for him.But he could also run into serious problems because of Sunday night as well, as we all know. agreen_112
Damn our LB's are looking weak now. Simmons, Johnson (ehhhhh), and Jeanty or Miller (ughhhhhhhhhhh). Prepare to be picked apart this week against Brady! He may deliver our first loss, if Carson and the offense don't put up big #'s.
Kazkal
Shoulden't henry be in the program though with his pot charge? hey chatmans questionable again one a awesome signing
membengal
IF Henry is in the program, he must be so far complying. That means showing up and passing tests. So, a non-issue until he ends up with his very own four-game suspension for the second screw-up...

Spain
The real ? is what do we do next year, with Odell risky, and Pollak , well might not ever play again.

Spain
yep, that would be aplan. I remeber when Parcells gave up on the 3-4, saying it was to hard to stock.
GregCook
I seem to remember ML taking heat in the press for drafting linebackers this year, both Brooks and AJ. Not too many teams out there that could lose two starting LB's in one season, and not miss a beat. As for Odell, yeah he's replaced Henry as knucklehead. But I wouldn't be surprised to seem him back either with the Bengals or elsewhere for 2007. What about McNeal? McNeal is nobody and could be gone tomorrow, yet there he was hanging out with two guys the Bengals have on a short leash. McNeal, having a tiny contract, a 7th round pick finally made the 53 unit, then he goes out partying with guys the Bengals can't really cut, but are known drug/alcohol/gun/girls offenders.
