TJJackson
Everyone; that fatass cop, kenton county, covington, florida, the f**kers who won't let Rose into the hall of fame but let Barry and Mcguire shoot up the sauce, ect. ect. ect....Oh, I see, the eternal conspiracy that people assign to others when they cannot accept that they are responsible for their own actions. Thanks, that clears up everything, including what little credibility you had left. It seems clear that there is very little reason to interact with his posts. I've begun to ignore him on any and all threads regarding any legal woes the Bengals have. Kazkal
Hmm, I wonder if Marvin is going to cut him. Can he do that anyway? Methinks this may change up our draft next year too.If he gets cut we owe him his full contract if I'm not mistaken....but sense he doesn't take up roster spot and they don't have to pay him it would be pointless cutting him now best thing IMO is give him till april-june to stay out of trouble if he does let him earn his spot back if he gets in trouble again cut him on the first cut date.PS,Cutting odell would hurt the team now more then it would help it sense it would eat our left over cap space making it so we cant resign people at the end of the year. ShulaSteakhouse
The Bengals' have more long term injuries than any team I've ever seen in my life - they really need to change the way they do some things - no team's players get injured this often and in such abundance - predominately it happens in practice too. While I agree that there are a lot of injured players, it has never been a problem with this coaching staff before. All injuries are football related, except of course the mental illness exhibited by Odell. This smells like a strong warning to Henry too. I didn't expect such a quick and stern decision by the league.Frustration speaking on my part I think.

How many times has there been Oh and THREE? and we had a lot more to whine about. It's good being a bengal fan again. All these strange feelings of expectation and success would be overwhelming without any odellness going around.
Jonboat
I'm actually glad they settled this now so he has a chance of playing next season. As far as cutting Odell I think they can only cut him for reasons that are football related not off the field issues, same was said about Henrys troubles, but that doesn't mean they have to play him either. One other thing is this year won't count as a year on his contract so basically next year will be his 2nd year. I really hope Odell gets his s**t together & comes back next year having learned from this . I love Odell & Henry as far as players but unfortunately they continue to make very poor choices. Kazkal
Question,is his year suspension ends with this season is over? or does it go for a year from now?
BengalByTheBay
Question,is his year suspension ends with this season is over? or does it go for a year from now?I read that it's retroactive to the start of this season, meaning he is potentially eligible at the beginning of next season. Here's a question for you -- do you think he will go that long without a violation of the substance abuse policy? I don't.
Kirkendall
Question,is his year suspension ends with this season is over? or does it go for a year from now?BengalByTheBay is right. Thurman can appeal for reinstatement before the start of next season. Also, just an FYI, in regards to contract, this season is void. Meaning his contract goes back to before he was in trouble. Meaning, this season is like it never exists in his contract and next season will be year #2 on his deal.

My guess is he has seen his last playing game with the Bengals. He would be eligible to play next year if he can keep his nose clean. Anyone want to give me odds on that chance? That is how T.O. got out of Philly last year right? I think. Maybe.

coupdayta
Good thing I went with the Carson Palmer jersey instead of Odell's. Hopefully Odell will get his crap together and Pollack will come back and have a great year next year. I'd be interested to see if Brooks gets some playing time later in the year as he progresses. I thought ML was a bit crazy for drafting so many LBs but now it makes total sense. In Marvin We Trust I guess.
