Here's denial for you ...

Savran - "Between the Bengals and Steelers, the Steelers are still the better team. If the Steelers and Jaguars played 10 times, the Steelers would win more than 50% of the time. I think the Steelers win the game."

What is this baseball?

I love how when the Steelers lose it's never that the other team is better it's..........

Ben's Fever

Troy's shoulder

The moon was full

The air was humid

It's never the Steelers were out played by a possibly better team....NO WAY!

[make sure you check out the text from the link at the very bottom of this information ... lots of profanity, just to let you know]

In case you had not noticed, the world's biggest homer and worst predictor, much like all of last year and the first two weeks of this year, picks the Bengals to lose again:

Stillers.com - Week 3 Predictions

Pittsburgh (- 2 ½) over Cincinnati – We got Ben’s rusty performance out of the way. Look out Ben-gals. I think Palmer will be seeing a lot of Big Casey this Sunday, which is going to enable the Stiller LB’s to run amok. This one isn’t going to be close. At least one Ben-gal gets carted off the field.

The guy is sitting at 11-21 for the season. I'm quite confident that throwing darts would be better.

And check out the analysis of the upcoming game:

Week 3 Matchup Analysis

Prediction: Last year, the Bengals hung 38 on the Steelers at Heinz Field. The Bengals had some lucky breaks that allowed them to do so. Field position was key. With Perry out, a banged up line, and a coaching staff that is too pass happy, the Steelers defense should not repeat that performance. The Bengals may look great early, marching up and down the field as they have in the past, but it won’t last if they continue to play the Steelers as they have. Johnson is the key to keeping this offense success for a full 60 minutes, and I don’t think they’ll give him the carries. The Bengals defense is still soft, on top of being injured. The game will hinge on the health of Roethlisberger at the end of the day. If he can hurt this Bengals defense early, the run will work, and he will be able to manage the game from that point. If he struggles like last week, the Steelers will lose. This game should not end in a shoot-out like last year. Roethlisberger shouldn’t have to throw much in the second half, as the run game turns on and the Bengals go into panic mode. The Steelers should win, although it is hardly guaranteed. Scenarios that I could see?

-Roethlisberger is back, throws early with success and Steelers get the run game going in the second half. Run all over the Bengals. Bengals abandon their own run, and the Steelers begin to separate as Palmer begins to make mistakes.

-Roethlisberger is back. Bengals keep balance, and the Steelers end up in a shoot-out. Not as many turnovers or big special teams plays, and I would still pick the Steelers here.

-Roethlisberger is not back. Bengals stack the box against the run, and the Steelers struggle and lose.

I’m going with the first one here, because I can’t even begin to imagine what this season will be like if Roethlisberger doesn’t recover, and I think the Bengals coaching staff gets off watching Carson Palmer throw.

Final Score: 34-17

Oh, and if you really want to see why I cannot stand this guy, just read the text from the following link. What a punk. What a jerk. What an obnoxious, arrogant ... well ... typical Pissburgher.

11:00 news, believe it or not, leads off with story that Cincinnati mayor will be traveling to Pittsburgh for a tour, etc.

They mentioned how the mayor is trying to form a caravan to Pittsburgh.

The Pittsburgh mayor said he plans to "show the mayor of Cincinnati what indoor plumbing is like".

Showing a picture of the Cincy mayor, they also told the Steeler fans to "be on the look out for this guy because he says he will be tailgating with you."

Probably the last little tidbit of information before gametime:

Steelers Digest t.v. show

Tunch Ilkin - Steelers Color commentator

"If I'm Marvin Lewis, I am telling the guys that the Steelers have no respect for us. They think they are better than us. They think they are more physical than us. We need to go out and be more physical."

Bob Labriola - Editor, Steelers Digest

"Last year, their goal was to win the division and when they did that they went home and put a little emblem on their field. The Steelers had bigger goals. We'll see if the Bengals have matured and if they are able to take the next step."

:rant::swear::finger::death::cursing::giljotiini:

We had bigger goals, the Steelers just gave us a flat tire on our road to the Super Bowl(Literally).

If by "bigger goals" he means starting the season 7-5, forcing themselved to win-out to barely squeak into the playoffs, thanks to melt-downs by both San Diego and Kansas City... then yes... Pittsburgh had bigger goals.

Look... their run was impressive. To win 3 straight playoff games on the road is tough, and they were playing very well at that point in the season, but there is no denying that they were lucky to even make the playoffs.

When they lost that game, they lost the division to us, so they needed the Wild-Card to make the playoffs. They were 7-5 compared to the Jags at 9-3, and the Chiefs and Chargers at 8-4. They were lucky... so shut-up about "bigger goals." We wanted to win the divison, and we did. The Steelers were lucky they got in the playoffs.

PITTSBURGH _ Wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh didn’t get the start here at Heinz Field, but he dressed for Sunday’s AFC North showdown with the Steelers.

Houshmandzadeh, who didn’t play in the first two games with a bruised heel, was one of just four receivers in head coach Marvin Lewis’ list of the active 45. He chose not to dress rookie receiver Reggie McNeal after McNeal was signed from the practice squad in the wake of Tab Perry’s hip injury in the final minute of last Sunday’s victory over Cleveland.

With Perry out and McNeal down, third-down running back Kenny Watson figured to return kickoffs. Chris Henry, off the first 100-yard game of his career, got the start for the third straight game.

As expected, Eric Ghiaciuc started in place of center Rich Braham (knee) and Kevin Kaesviharn got the nod in place of strong safety Dexter Jackson (ankle).

The Bengals not only didn’t have Perry, but wide receiver Antonio Chatman (groin) was scratched for the third time this season. Also scratched again was rookie linebacker A.J. Nicholson. Also inactive: Braham, Jackson, and rookie defensive end Frostee Rucker.

The Steelers opted to deactivate running back Duce Staley.

I just had to come in here first and say congrats to you, Duus. Looks like a good week ahead.

Good week. Good month. Good fall. Good remainder of year. Nothing for them to yap at me about for the rest of the year. BTW ... I will be in Kentucky for the next game, so no 'inside scoop' on that one.

Thanks for the message. Who Dey!

Colclough is completely the scapegoat in all media outlets here. Forget that Haynes followed that with a fumble of his own. Forget that Benji threw 0 tds and 3 picks.

Locker room interviews

Bob Popmeani - "How does this one feel?"

Santonio Holmes - "We need to take care of the ball. We need to finish the game strong. We need to put those guys away."

Bob Pompeani - "You had to like the way the Bengals went right to the endzone after the turnovers."

Bob Pompeani - "What's your state of mind after a 1-2 start?"

Heath Miller - "We are disappointed. It's 1-2, and we are not looking back."

Just saw a little video with Willie Parker in the locker room. When all the other guys at least say something about "they were the better team today' or whatever ... not Willie ...

he says, "the better team didn't leave the field with a win today." It's on video. In fact, that entire video was pretty much a big denial by Willie. I'm going to try to find it someone and get it posted for all to enjoy.

Hmmm ...

Well, I wasn't going to stay up for this ... but I'm glad I did ...

channel after channel after channel has the 11:30 p.m. show filled with guys just yelling and arguing with one another. Who's to blame!!!!???!! Is it all on Colclough? Is it Ben? Is it the receivers? Is it Cowher?

Who is it? Someone must pay!!!

Boy, I don't remember the last time I enjoyed channel surfing so much.

I encourage all Bengal fans to go back and read through this thread again. All that stuff that pissed you off mid-week seems pretty funny now. I love seeing some of the quotes from the Pittsburgh homers that can now be used against them. Specifically with Madden:

All these injuries have to catch-up with Cincinnati. If the Bengals can win in Pittsburgh with all these injuries, then they have the potential to be a special team.

He said it... not me. We are now getting into that "special team" category.
