dcbengal1
Tough going for Rudi since they know we, in contrast to them last year, won't run up the score by passing in this situation

BlainThePain
Final!Good D!!!!!Player of the Game????JSmith?Rudi?Definantly J Smith. 5 tackles, 3 sacks, and a FF. He also had some key rushes like on Geathers first sack. That's his best game in the pros to my memory.
San Antonio Bengal
Great start to the season. Any win on the road is good, especially one at Arrowhead no less. The conditions made for some sloppy ball, but I expect the offense to really start clicking next week. The defense looked good. There were lapses here and there, but it was a good effort overall. Now it's Cleveland's turn.
ShulaSteakhouse
Madeiu and Smith and Geathers all had great games and were all over the place.
HoTbOy
Seeing the Bengals D play they way they did was awesome, not much passing but good none the less...
membengal
Often I have wondered just what it would like to root for a team with a good offense and good defense in the 21st century. Turns out, it's a lot of fun. That is precisiely the kind of game the Bengals used to specialize in losing, bad conditions, run dominated, they never stood a chance. Now? Now they are built to win in that kind of conditions too. The D was everything I hoped it would be...hard hitting, relentless, smart. And the best part is that there is plenty of room to improve. Even better, the D-line generated a lot of pressure just on their own. Never though I would see the day.On a day without Housh, played in a partial monsoon, they did exactly what they needed to on offense to win. Controlled the ball, minimized mistakes, converted just enough.Great start. Great win. In that stadium, on opening day? GREAT win.Who dey, friends. HoosierCat
Random thoughts......No. 1 I hope Trent Green is OK. His head bounced off the turf like a basketball....Hello, defense! No Justin haters this week, that's for sure. Madieu showed why he was missed. Thornton was all over the place, too. Still need to work some on that run D but in the end today was fine by me....TJ was clearly missed but props to Reggie Kelly for a strong day....Rudi looked spectacular today, as did the o-line's blocking....good special teams today except WATCH FOR THE FAKE!...we win, they lose, good day. jditty47
my thoughts on the defense...simmons held up great in the middle with 8 tackles. told u all he will probably lead the team in tackles...jeanty, landon, miller all had solid games at LBdline was huge. best game in ages. weather helped alot as well as having the lead. smith awesome game, 3 sacks a FF and a FR(but he got tackled by a QB so he loses cool points). peko, thornton, adams, robinson, s. smith all did very good, great push.jackson, good run support and great tackling and not allowing the big run. madieu - glad hes back. we gave up a bit too much of a cushion to their wideouts on alot of plays, that needs to be corrected. oneal back will fix that though
