Carson Returns Today!!!!

In an alternative reality, I am getting breakfast at Frisch's, then going shopping for ice and beer for the cooler and meat for the grill, then heading down to do an all-day tailgate before tonight's game while listening to 1530 for as much Bengals talk as possible.

In this reality, I am at work in Memphis killing the hours until I can get home and get ready to watch the game.

Can't wait, but the alternative reality would be a lot cooler...

I have mixed feelings about carson coming back tonight. I am going to be glad to see him back out on the field doing his stuff. But my biggest concern is of course his leg. I hope the offensive line is in season form tonight to give him excellent protection. Because if i see him take a hit in the leg i am going to cover my eyes and pray. After that first hit he takes and he will be okay i will be more comforable with him back in the line-up.

Well it is pouring down rain and should be doing so all day and night, field is covered - not sure how that affects things. But if this keeps up it'll put somewhat of a damper on things.

Looks like from the radar once that shield of heavy rain passes it is clear for awhile...

I don't know that it will affect Palmer's playing time per say - it very well may not rain as hard/as much by 9pm tonight honestly - i just read where the rain is supposed to end/taper off "late tonight," and as Mem mentioned, there's just a huge sheet of storms/rain over us right now, but don't really see anything behind it that's nearly as big/threatening.

They said some of the storms this afternoon could be bad though, so, will just have to wait and see.

i have never been this excited over a preseason game . i can not wait i feel like a liitle kid on christmas eve . :bengal:

Feels just about the same as before the playoff game...

anticipation, anxious, nervous, entering the unknown

and huge doses of hope and excitement for how good it can be...

...not to compare this to that second play from scrimage, just alot of nervous anxiousness.

Kind of erie, all in all.

Another awesome video. I just keep thinking about the RB in Friday Night Lights. He thinks he well enough to play but he really isn't. I think Carson will be just fine but it scares the hell out of me at the same time.

I think his name was Booby. Annoying quote from the movie "You all want to win put Booby in." I feel the same way though about Carson as you do. I'm excited and worried at the same time. It's a pretty big adrenaline rush.

Mentally, Carson is miles away from being ready .... :crutches:

I sure hope the organization isn't rushing things as a way to keep ticket sales up. A decision like this could be very very costly ... :gramps:

How in the Hell would you know that?

Tonights decision to play was Carsons to make. Do some research before spewing off.

I also wanted to ask you this one there Blitz. How exactly do you keep ticket sales up when the season is sold out? Hmmm. Doof.

Thanks for stopping by. It is comforting to know just how big the straws are that scared Steelers fans are grasping at. That would be hella big straws...
