ShulaSteakhouse
Reggie McNeal Quarterback Height: 6-foot-2Weight: 209 poundsClass Year: SrExperience: 4VHigh School: Lufkin HSHometown: Lufkin, TXPros: May be the best athlete at the position since Michael Vick. He has been timed in the 40 at under 4.4, which is rare at this position. He has a strong, athletic frame that would allow him to move to another position -- either receiver or running back. He has a good arm with very quick feet to set up and move both in the pocket and as a scrambler. There’s a wide range of opinion on his ability to become an NFL starter, but his versatility and athleticism should allow him to eventually start at QB.Cons: He has the package to become a blue-chip prospect with further development, but his average senior season leaves questions concerning his readiness to play in the NFL. He has not operated in a sophisticated offense, which has limited his progress as a pro passer. He has a strong arm, but needs work on his delivery and release to improve his accuracy. He can make the tough out throw with good velocity and timing, but needs to improve his basic mechanics including footwork and follow-through. Numbers: As a senior, he started 10 games with 141 completions in 265 attempts with 16 TD passes and 9 picks for 1963 yards. As a runner, he had 96 carries for 780 yards for an 8 yards-per-carry average and 3 TDs with a long play of 63 yards. He sat out A&M's last regular season game with an ankle injury. At the Combine, he ran a blazing 4.35 with a 32-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot, one-inch broad jump.Skinny: With many clubs interested in adding a quality prospect, he will most likely be a third-round selection based on athleticism and upside alone. He would be perfect for teams that have an aging veteran starter and are looking to develop a high-level replacement over the next few seasons. BlainThePain
http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingr...ggiemcneal.html Height: 6-2 | Weight: 198 | 40-Time: 4.35 Official Bio Strengths:An amazing athlete with rare speed for any position let alone quarterback...Has a great arm and quick release...Can move outside the pocket and throw on the run...Has about a 2-to-1 TD / INT ratio the past couple of seasons...Very tough...Shows flashes of brilliance...The type of running threat that keeps defenders up at night...Has a lot of tools to work with and some major upside. Weaknesses:Very erratic as a passer...Struggles to read defenses...Makes bad decisions under pressure...Leadership abilities have been questioned...Stares down his intended targets...Despite his speed he is no Michael Vick when it comes to moves...Is not very tall and gets too many passes knocked down at the line...Is too cautious and worried about making the big mistake...Raw overall and will need development. Notes:May have to make a position change since he is a much better athlete than quarterback...Did not have the huge senior season everyone was expecting...Will more than likely get an opportunity to be a pro signal caller and in a worst-case scenario could move to wide receiver...An interesting prospect to say the least. Stripes
Good pick. He was listed as a WR on ESPN, but my assumption is that the Bengals intend to use him as a QB. He can be a long term backup if he pans out, and his speed should allow for some trick play potential.
schweinhart
Slash McNeal I like this pick if he can stick w/o being pegged just a QB. Great speed and worth a 6th to see what else he can do. He could be QB if he had to as maybe a 3rd or 4th option, but he could fit in in the secondary too, returner maybe and receiver for some Brat gadgets. A pick that piques interest. Corey Chavous on NFL Network loves him. Looks really, really fast in his highlight reel.

TJJackson
Last year, I waited, then waited some more, and waited some more still for them to address two need positions: TE and SDeja Vu, except that the need is greater this year. This guy will be on the roster as the #5 or #6 wideout and will probably see little or no time on the field as a WR, rather as a special teams gadget play guy, nothing more. We should have addressed other positions here.Grade D

Whur CHad At?
No TJ, with a 4.32 40, this guy isnt fast enough for the wideout posistion. He should just forget about playing on offense, and just worry about ST
BoilersAndBengals
Reggie McNeil is going to be a star. Great pick.
andybren
Put him on an end-around where he's a danger to throw down the field to Chad.
DontPushMe
To be honest im not a big fan of this pick. Hes not a quarterback, but hes going to fight turning WR, if lewis can convince him to play WR he could be a player for us, but i as a qb he wouldnt even make the 53 man roster. WhiteDawg
To be honest im not a big fan of this pick. Hes not a quarterback, but hes going to fight turning WR, if lewis can convince him to play WR he could be a player for us, but i as a qb he wouldnt even make the 53 man roster.I just heard on ESPN that McNeil had the worst quote of the week stating that QB's like Brady, Manning, and Palmer are a dying breed (meaning the drop back passer) and its all about mobility qb's. Furthermore, he did not participate in the senior bowl b/c they wanted him to play WR.
andybren
He caught passes at the combine so somebody talked some sense into him. The QB quote is just a guy trying to improve his stock. Sounds like something Chad would say if he were a QB.
kentjett
The best athlete in the draft, great value pick in the 6 round. We still have 2 more picks to fill the S and TE positions
