Round 5: OLB A.J. Nicholson

for all who really don't know who aj nicholson is he was widely considered the second best l/b in all of the ncaa's. i remember when he was accused of the rape charges all i could think was what a shame someone with his talent just cost him self millions of dollars and a chance to play in the nfl . this kid on the field is one hell of a player. he was the best lb on florida st. yes that means he is a better player than ernie sims. sims was to nicholson as carpenter was to hawk . i believe he is the best pure football player we drafted in this draft . as long as he does not put himself on to the coaches s**t list he will be a very good player for us and very well could take simmons job or even start at middle beside o'dell if we switch to a 3-4.

He seems thrilled with the second chance, and those that followed FSU games are pretty high on his football ability. he's a 5th rounder, perfect round to get a guy seeking to leave his past behind.

Weirdly, I am starting to come around under Spain's onslaught...this draft does make them more likely rather than less to be in a 3-4 for more than just to mix things up at some point in the next few years...
