NJ29
Domata Peko, DT, Michigan State. The guy with the hair.
Stripes
I love this pick.110% effort kinda guy, quite the contrary to the common conception of Matthias Askew.
HoosierCat
Yay! A DT! Another fourth-round DT, but at least it's something.
AGrizzlyBaer
see i like him, i remember watching him last year. he was a decent player on a bad team. if anything i dig the hair!
BTG
Did we just take Mathias Askew again??Any news on trading Kelley?
NJ29
I've read that his ideal fit is as a 3-4 nose tackle, which intrigues me.
ArmyBengal
Well, I'm more happy with this pick. Peko higher than Harris huh ??I we are still addressing the D-line at least...WHODEY !!!
TJJackson
Lovely, lovely. We pass again on a number of other better players so we can have yet another underwhelming DT from Michigan StateI think I had the draft rated an F+ prior to this. Solid F now.Just horrendous. derekshank
I didn't fully understand rounds 2 and 3... but I understand this. Great pick. Comes from the same school as Askew... so lets hope they don't share too much in common. He's 320 lbs Playing with reckless abandon, Peko goes incredibly hard for 60 minutes. Offers upside as a three-technique lineman or rotational tackle in a conventional defense. http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=8&c=1&yr=2006&nid=2143701I wonder if he's a future NT possibility. Regardless, you gotta love a guy with hair like this

Whur CHad At?
Orion Harris is still on the board and we passed why????
BTG
Don't forget Rodrique Wright...he's still there as well.
DontPushMe
Orion Harris is still on the board and we passed why????The same reason why we and 32 other teams "passed" on him in the 3rd round, there were better players on the board at that time. TJJackson
Who would you have taken? We got the best DT left on the board, what more would you want? No, we didn't - and I've already answered your question, if you bothered to look earlier in this thread. There's your comparison - compare what either of these two guys - Frosty the Snow Man and Hurley Peko - do in 2006 to what the pick taken AFTER Peko does in 2006. See you in December.Dear lord, one of you actually is promoting him on the basis of his hair.
Whur CHad At?
Decent but not good pick
schweinhart
Peko definitely fits a bill of need. Seems a little early for the specific need, but hey it's splitting hairs at this point. The Hairy One has got bounds of energy and might even push Shaun Smith for PT. I like the pick well enough but would've liked a little more heft or lower center of gravity in the likes of Oshinowo or Jonathan Lewis. Stripes
I am glad we passed on Harris in favor of Peko. I honestly think this is our best pick so far. He's not Askew just because of his school. In fact, based on what he did on the field every week, he's the opposite. He and Shaun Smith are both much bigger than Marvin's usual DTs, and I'd love to see what they can do next to Sam Adams. Great pick.
Mckracken
Watched him alot great pick!A lot of teams are passing on harris because he's a tweener at DT!Kelley Washington is on the trade block!Go bengals
Sox
Orion Harris is still on the board and we passed why????I don't know. But you can ask every other team in the fourth so far the same question. This is eerily similar to last year when people were screaming about stupid picks because Shazor and Hawthorne were still on the board. AGrizzlyBaer
i remember this guy flying as fast as dt can down the field with a fumble
Folz
TJJackson is the most negative person i have ever seen. Can we save all of his posts so he can feel like an idiot next year?
TJJackson
You didn't hear me screaming for Slowpoke Shazor or Cheech Hawthorne
