GapControl Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 I want to open this discussion to the board. Let`s say, Carson Palmer, Rudi Johnson, Chad Johnson, and TJ Houshmandzadeh are the most valuable offensive players on the Bengals. Who is the next most valuable player on offense? This can include any 2005 or 2006 roster holder. So, K Walter and Schoebel are free game. This question only applies to skill players. So an offensive line member cannot be considered. If you just simply must say someone on the offensive line, please don`t mention an individual. Just respond "Offensive Line". But I really hope to discuss skill players in this thread! Quote

Not a bad question Gap, but I'll move this out of the "Casino" forum and into the "Bengals" forum where you will probably get a better response to your question !!!To answer your question, I'll go with the entire O-line !!! WHODEY !!! Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 If you don't want individuals on the O-line, then it's a total no brainer. On the other hand, to me, Eric Steinbach is the man. He plays his position very well, AND he can jump to center or tackle as needed. Quote
GapControl Posted April 27, 2006 Author Report Posted April 27, 2006 By Skill Players I mean QB, RB, FB, TE, WR. I think many people are going to want to pick their favorite offensive lineman, so let`s go ahead and open up to EVERY player on Offense, not just the Skill players! Quote
AMC Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Richie Braham!!! And has been for about a decade..... Quote
Who Dey Time Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Without question Richie Braham. Not only is he stout as a center, he call the OL signals while at the line of scrimmage. That type of experience is invaluable. Hopefully, Ghiacuic and Wilkerson are learning a few things from him. WHO-DEY! Quote
DesperateDerelict Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Just respond "Offensive Line".Offensive Line Quote
redsbengalsbucks Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Skill player has to be Cheech Henry last season, he had some big catches. Quote
LABengalsFan09 Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Levi, consistently blanked blindside defenders coming for Carson Palmer Quote
denverbengal Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Jeremi Johnson. Not only is he a punishing blocker, but he's a threat every time he touches the ball. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Hard to name just one even without the "big name" guys excluded because the offense is just that stellar !!! God is that a nice problem to have !!!WHODEY !!! Quote
Kirkendall Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 I think many people are going to want to pick their favorite offensive lineman, so let`s go ahead and open up to EVERY player on Offense, not just the Skill players! Offensive lineman, for me, goes Levi Jones. He should have been voted to the Pro-Bowl the way he shut down some the league's elite pass rushers -- except for that rascal Schobel (not Matt, the other one, can't remember, need spinach)Other skillz, for me, goes to Jeremi Johnson. Hands down. Blocking, catching out of the backfield, he's earned that nice big hefty contract he got. Quote
TJJackson Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Carson because he is the hardest player to replace with roughly equal production Quote
Kirkendall Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Carson because he is the hardest player to replace with roughly equal productionOh crap. I thought the main four weren't allowed.Well, then yea, freakin' Carson. Although Rudi has done a great job keeping defensive pressure off Carson with two record breaking seasons. Chad going deep, TJ on those five yard zig zag routes... Honestly, this team is BAD-ASS. Sorry, got a little Joe (family guy) fired up. Quote
Wraith Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Offensive Line.1) Levi2) Steinbach3) Willie4) Braham5) Bobby Quote
derekshank Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 If we're not talking Palmer, Chad, Rudi and Housh, and we're trying to stay away from the O-line, then the answer is simple. Whoever the backup QB is. Quote
turningpoint Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 this is a such a pointless thread, it's obviously Jeremi Johnson. Our Te's suck and that's the only other position "available" to discuss. Quote
BengalChamps Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 I'll pick Levi. He's the Ohog thats goin to cost us the most in the end anyway. Quote
TJJackson Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 erk, sorry, I just read the thread title and not the opening post.....you're right, he's really asking whos the most valuable other than the named 4....which is really what he should title the thread..... Quote
Ox Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 JJ, TJ and CJ. Definately th OL. Oh but most importantly, CP. Quote
kentjett Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 If O-line don't count then I would have to go w/ Chris Perry or Chris Henry Quote
BlainThePain Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 1. Carson Palmer2. Levi Jones3. Rudi Johnson Quote

I should have titled it differently. My vote goes for Skill Player Chris Perry and Oline guy Willie Anderson. Perry because of his versatile offensive role. Anderson because of his veteran leadership and the considerable driveblock he gives on runs to the right side. It was a toss up for me between he and Braham. Quote
cincy9275 Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 levi if you truly know football then you would know that the left tackle is the second most important player on the offense why do you think they get paid so much 1st is the qb Quote
