kayaker0678
Lions | Schlesinger wondering about his roleThu, 13 Apr 2006 05:53:43 -0700Mike O'Hara, of the Detroit News, reports Detroit Lions FB Cory Schlesinger is worried about his role in the team's new offense being installed by offensive coordinator Mike Martz. Indications are that the classic fullback could be phased out of the offense. "That's what I'm wondering right now," Schlesinger said between practices Wednesday, April 12. "I'm wondering where I fit in with this offense, this staff. So, really I don't want to say anything until I get my facts straight. I'm not talking much."I would love this guy and trade JJ to 49s
Larry
Isn't JJ a restricted free agent? From what I understand, all the 49ers have to do is sign him to a offer sheet and then we will get draft pick. I think third round?Only if we choose not to match. Wonder if they would add a Poison pill? Maybe like if the team wins more than three games his contract is doubled.

Oh, and the Lambs twice a year. That's got to be good for 3 games, even for the hapless 49rs.
AGrizzlyBaer
if the 49's sign jj it would give us there forth
Stripes
I'd rather keep Jeremi than go after Schlesinger. It looks like the 49ers have lost any interest they may have had in him previously as well.
ArmyBengal
So you would rather trade the guy that has blocked for Rudi for the past two seasons he has broken the clubs single season rushing record ??? I vote NO !!! You really can't ask more from JJ, not to mention he can catch out of the backfield...WHODEY !!!

NJ29
Rudi would probably hold out if Jeremi was traded. He loves that guy.
