Bauman re-signs

Bauman

The Bengals today signed CB Rashad Bauman, one of the team’s unrestricted free agents, to a one-year contract.

Bauman (5-8, 184; Oregon) is a fifth-year NFL player in 2006. He will be in his third season with the Bengals. He played in 11 games last season with one start, and also played in the Wild Card playoff vs. Pittsburgh. He had eight tackles on defense and four on special teams, and was named as the Bengals team winner of the Ed Block Courage Award, given through training staffs to players who demonstrate exceptional commitment to the values of sportsmanship and courage.

Bauman is the fourth veteran free agent signed by Cincinnati this year. Previously signed from other teams were unrestricted free agent S Dexter Jackson of Tampa Bay and free agent WR-KR Antonio Chatman, last with Green Bay. Previously signed from among Bengals unrestricted free agents was S Anthony Mitchell.

Woo-hoo ST's staying intact...mostly

Good signing. Bauman showed promise as a nickel corner as well. He's good depth on defense and excellent on kickoff coverage. Now how about that QB!

dime maybe ...not nickel.. the guy is a midget..
