UofLnMU
Pleasant and personable. Big as a truck. He was there with DJ Shockley, Max Jean Gilles (OL behemoth), BZ fave Greg Blue, Russ Tanner (UGA C who was on the Rimington list this year), Will Thompson (who will make someone in the late rounds happy), Dennis Roland (RT for UGA, and possibly the biggest white guy I have ever met, and Tim Jennings (CB). I wore my Odell Bengals jersey, and the guys just about flipped: "Dude, he's rockin' the Odie threads here!" I mentioned to Pope that I'd love to see him in stripes with Cincinnati finally throwing to the tight end, to which he responded, "Hey, I'd like to see that too!" I've become a big UGA fan since I've moved down here, but I would kill to see him in a Bengal uni.
Bengalbob
As a Georgia Tech grad it kills me to want these guys on the Bengals! That said, if they can help us beat the Squeelers, bring em' on!

ArmyBengal
Not like he's going to tell a fan wearing the jersey of his team to go F*CK himself when he asks about his team drafting him either.I think he'd be a good fit and I'm sure he would love to be involved with the high powered offense we have. On that note, we could get a TE in the next few rounds, so who really knows ???WHODEY !!!
Stripes
Pope is certainly the man, and I wouldn't mind drafting him a bit. He's so friggin' tall... Imagine having him in the red zone! Touchdowns aplenty...

I would rather go D with the first pick but if it's Pope...well, somehow, I'll live!

HoosierCat
Related TE note from kffl...Bengals | Team might have interest in C. DavisSat, 1 Apr 2006 08:27:29 -0800Tom Kubat, of the Journal and Courier, reports Purdue TE Charles Davis said the Cincinnati Bengals seem pretty interested in drafting him. When asked when or who will likely select him in the draft, Davis replied, "It's just a big waiting game now. From what I gathered at the combine and first pro day, it seemed like Cincinnati was pretty interested. But you really don't know."Davis is projected as a late day 2 pick. Has some receiving skills but only average speed (4.87 40). Big guy, tho, 250-some lbs. No idea whether he can block worth a poop or has any special ST skills. bengalboomer7
I just don't understand why you draft a tight end in the FIRST, while currently having one of the most explosive offenses in the league, and one of the worst defenses
