BengalszoneBilly Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 + What say you?Jack 'n Coke. Definitely good, but Jack Daniels is wayyyy over priced. It's made with a "sour mash" process, no different than almost every type of Kentucky Bourbon, and also some Canadian blended whiskies. I like Jim Beam Black every bit as much, and I'll save the extra $7.00 a bottle that Jack Daniels charges for it's product. Maybe that's what they mean by "The 'Ol #7!" But...If you're buying, I'll sit all night and drink Jack with you until I don't know Jack and fall off the stool! Quote

Riagogogoindanati Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 BOMBAY SAPPHIRE GIN AND TONIC. WITH A LIME AND LITE ICE, OF COURSE. & THE BIGGEST GLASS I CAN FIND! WELL ACTUALLY, IT IS BETTER SERVED IN A SMALLER GLASS, SINCE THE TONIC CAN FIZZLE OUT. JUST KEEP THOSE REFILLS COMIN'! Quote
ArmyBengal Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 I'm a simple man to please in relation to this topic... BEER !!! WHODEY !!! Quote
Ox Posted February 23, 2006 Author Report Posted February 23, 2006 I dunno Billy, there's just something about that black labeled bottle that intrigues me. I think it might just be the fact I had such a fondness to it in my college years, or that I seemed to get lucky every time that bottle came around. Either way, it was good time. I'll gladly keep paying more if it continues to give me that kinda luck! I do have a fondness to some fine KY bourbon as well! Quote

redsfan2 Posted March 17, 2006 Report Posted March 17, 2006 Favorites ..........With a steak = Stinger. White Creme de Menthe and Rum / or Cognac over ice. Great with a steak ... kinda like coffee and donuts.... they just go together. For sitting around at home .......... most any good bourbon. For munchies and company ....... Spiced wines ... there's a couple of good ones. Semi dry white wine when I run out of spice. Bock beer when I can get it ..... at the bar or watching games .... games beer ... steaks stingers . they go together.Nite caps ............ Grand Marnier ...... a good rum ... or brandy ........ all neet.A recent suvey showed that 35% of all fatal accidents involved a person driving under the influence of alcohol. That means the other 65% involved people that were driving sober. Statistically .... we're all a lot safer driving drunk Quote
Scottishbengal Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 On a hot summers day there aint nothing finer than some Thatchers farmhouse cider (Cheddar Valley Red is my particular fave). Known as "scrumpy" it's cloudy and smells real bad, tastes smooth (no gas) and slips down easy but has a vicious kick - some measured at a bar in Somerset a few years ago was coming out at 14% ABV - you don't need many! On a cold day a nice ale or irish stout (Murphys or Guinness) would do the trick, washed down with a very large shot of Tormore whisky. Quote
BlainThePain Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 Amber Bach, Miller Lite, Pabst Blue Ribbon (thats right, I said I like Pabst) Run & Coke, and Woodford Reserve (Any of you bourbon connoisseurs that haven't tried Woodford need to go out and pick up a bottle because it blows the competition away). I'm just starting to get into scotch (I'm only 21). Quote
