  1. The fact that Reader hasnt re-signed is quite worrisome. There arent many good DTs left that, and all of the good ORTs have already signed, and I dont want Jonah back mainly because he clearly doesnt want to be here these two positions are the key to free agency for us, and I havent heard even a hint of them talking with anyone
  2. More good news....here's the experienced TE we need https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39715182/source-bengals-sign-te-mike-gesicki-1-year-dea and only 3 M :-) I wish it was for 3 years, but its just a 1 year deal
  3. the speculation is that it will be a late day 3 pick, and that pick could possibly be conditional, ie we get nothing unless his usage and/or production meets certain conditions If its conditional, it will be a 2025 pick, not a 2024 pick but yeah, either is still better than the nothing we were getting by releasing him I dont think this changes the cap. I think we still get the dead cap charge, same as before, only difference is that his salary and any 2024 incentives go against Houston's cap, which again changes nothing for us, cap-wise
  4. The new rb is younger, cheaper, and a MUCH better pass blocker, so I am happy with all that I think they are going to go with not featuring or truly starting a back. I would bet good money if I had any that, assuming both are healthy, two backs will see a roughly equal number of carries I have no ill will against Mixon, I just wish he had accepted a pay cut, but very very few players ever do that
  5. S O N U V A B I T C H The Raiders ORT signed with the *** damn Giants F U C K ! ! ! arrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhh and it was just 7M a year!!!! we coulda EASILY topped that this FO just makes me SO fucking mad make a phone call or two, jeez fill needs starting ORT is need number FUCKING one F U C K
  6. SUX at least Crazylegs is re-signed, albeit for a bit too much money for a third stringer Love it that we took a productive player in the prime of his career for a reasonable price from the Ratbirds......suck it Baltimore I need the mem take on this
  7. some time back, certain folks here were clamoring for Landon Dickerson. I said fuckem because of his injury History so then this happened: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39707298/sources-eagles-make-landon-dickerson-highest-paid-guard-history so someone pass me the extra large bottle of bbq sauce altho......I wanted Creed Humphrey, so I wasnt too far off the money No one wanted Carman, btw
  8. Gimme Latham. Long arms and high production against top competition then a pass rushing DI then a 3 down TE then, in no particular order: P, developmental QB accuracy over arm strength, developmental OC (pass blocking over run blocking), coverage LB, outside corner with speed (and preferably return ability), developmental OLT (pass blocking over run blocking) (Smith and Carman can go away) Focus on HIGH RAS in round 4 and later, and in UDCFA this is all with future years in mind. Address the "now" needs in FA. spend the cash while the championship window is open. Number 1 "now" need in FA is ORT. Number 2 "now" need is pass rush, however we can get it
  9. Trayveon Williams is re-signed S U P E R B O W L Bengals Re-Sign Veteran Running Back (msn.com) I am thrilled beyond words to know (now with certainty) that the Bengals are working feverishly to retain our top FAs like Trayveon
  10. I always assumed that the OLT acquisition offset the loss of Bates in the compensatory picks calculation
  11. Hate this one No DI, first and foremost Hate Bowers Fuaga has short arms sorry
  12. For FA, I'd be happy with The raiders starting ORT + re-sign Sample and Hudson (baseline 1 year contracts with incentives) + re-sign Reader + sign one of the many high quality defensive backs who just got released to a 7-8M contract, length dependent on how old they are + sign a competent pass rusher, very preferrably an inside guy + sign Tee to a 3+ year extension bonus would be extending Chase, signing a quality 3-down TE, and some better OL depth, especially at OC and yeah, this is absolutely all doable and budget-able
  13. Hurst is also available, but I really think with the injury diagnosis he got that he should retire Love both guys
