Yes. Mixon was like 48th of 52 qualifying backs in a few of the relevant efficiency stats last year. So, yes, he is super replaceable and if he won’t take a pay cut unlikely to find a good contract anywhere else.
there are like a bazillion backs still out there as FAs that they could sign. They have plenty of leverage. And mixon would make next to nothing if they cut him in this current market.
I would also have preferred something for o-line here. Not sure how this guy has any prayer of making the roster. Would have liked a flier on IOL for competition.
more than half of everything you type is so fucking negative. Why the hell would you look at a guy getting the call of his dreams late in the 4th round and think he is sad about it?
you do understand that pretty much NO rb coming out of college is a known as to pass blocking, right? Read through this thread and see Callahan's quotes on that. And Brown's quotes.
They can literally just keep signing guys on one-year prove-it deals at TE over and over again if guys keep coming here and getting paid after leaving.
by that, Simmons means a punt returner who puts the "fear of god" into teams having to punt to him. He's been wanting one since Pacman's days ended with the team.
that's funny I suppose, but Wilcox filled in four games for Hurst and this team did not miss a beat in a crucial stretch. And Smith is a really quality TE1.
