  1. Gawd help us, here comes the D.
  2. Love that run game!
  3. Lost the coin toss. Season over. 0-17 here we come.
  4. Yah the whole 2024 draft is already looking bad outside of Mims.
  5. Inactives: Cincinnati Bengals 24 CB Marco Wilson 65 C Matt Lee 81 WR Jermaine Burton 85 TE Cam Grandy 93 DT McKinnley Jackson 95 DT Howard Cross III Cleveland Browns QB Shedeur Sanders (Emergency Third QB) DT Mike Hall Jr. G Zak Zinter T KT Leveston WR Gage Larvadain
  6. Oh also I’m out of beer and can’t buy any until noon because if you have a beer before noon on Sunday in Indiana it makes baby Jesus cry or something,
  7. Woke up today to a fresh hell: a home invasion of yellowjackets who have decided to occupy the downstairs back room. Apparently there’s a nest under the front overhang and with fall approaching the time has come to boot the now-useless male drones out of the hive for the winter. Unfortunately they left through the wrong door. The silver lining is that most of them have expired. There’s probably 100+ dead on the window ledge. A bunch more came in last time I looked but have since either left back the way they came or joined their brethren in the great beyond. They’re not aggressive and don’t seem interested in exploring the rest of the house, save for the oddball here and there. So I’m just keeping door closed. Did email a local company that handles nest removals, hopefully hear back from them soon. Wonder how much this will cost me…sigh. Go Bengals.
  8. I will wait to see the details but so far it sounds like they just added another year for $5 million to his contract. That would cost them nothing right now and keep their options open for 2026. Nothing wrong with that.
  9. CNBC with the rundown on 2024 NFL ticket sales. https://www.cnbc.com/2025/09/04/internal-nfl-ticket-report-reveals-49ers-at-top-titans-at-bottom.html Bengals sold 634,106 tickets last season, which was not far off the average 654.5. Still a pretty cheap date -- relatively speaking -- too. Average ticket price was $118.45, versus a league average $135.24, and premium/club tix were way cheaper at $139.92 versus $198.55. Cincy's $91.2 million in net ticket receipts was good for 25th overall. Interesting note: each team last year received $27 million from the shared ticket revenue pool. The Bengals actually contributed slightly more, $27.4 million, than they got back. The Steelers and Ravens also put more than $27 million each into the pool. The division's only charity case? The Clowns, of course.
  10. So earlier this year we got P.H.A.T. Now as the season begin we are B.E.S.T. Though it should actually be B.D.E.S.M.T. Dunno what it is with the Bengals and acronyms this year, but they are bad at it and they should not do it anymore.
  11. Not a huge surprise but expect the d-line to be a bit of a work in progress Sunday, Dehner says.
  12. Kiss of death delivered: Prisco picks the Bengals to win. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/priscos-week-1-nfl-picks-bills-outlast-ravens-jets-beat-aaron-rodgers-and-bears-ruin-j-j-mccarthys-debut/
  13. My favorite Battle of Ohio moment came in a game against Seattle.
  14. Package for the scriptwriter…
  15. First depth chart issued. https://www.cincyjungle.com/cincinnati-bengals-roster/173733/2025-depth-chart No big surprises. Patrick gets the nod at RG but Risner is right behind him. Stewart backing up Ossai, Murphy behind Hendrickson. Charlie Jones to return both kicks and punts. Hill is the starting nickel corner, as expected. Fant over Hudson over Grandy at the back end of the TE room
  16. I feel pretty good about the offense. I think the changes they made to camp and preseason this year, especially forgoing joint practices with other teams in favor of focusing on what they needed to do in practice and giving the starters more reps in preseason, are going to pay off this Sunday. I feel good about teams as well. The defense? That's the big question. We've heard the "oh, we weren't really trying, don't worry, it'll all be different when we hit the magic button ahead of week one" talk before, and pretty much every time it's not any different. So I expect that they will look awful Sunday and we are going to need to score 40 to have any hope of a win. I do think the D will improve once they get a few weeks in the new system under their belts and all the position battles/question marks work themselves out. But the O is going to have to carry the load for the first month of the season.
  17. Meanwhile in Cleveland.
  18. Welp, it's week 1. Let the disappointment begin! Some stuff from Hobs. Dax Hill is a go for Sunday. Coaches "continue to monitor the status of" DJ Turner and BJ Hill. Taylor wasn't ready yesterday to name a starting RG, though Patrick appears to have the inside track.
  19. Sounds like the Chiefs were hoping he would sign up with them again via the PS but they might have pissed him off… https://www.arrowheadpride.com/kansas-city-chiefs-roster/180578/mike-pennel-signs-with-the-bengals
  20. Bengals sign DT Mike Pennel. https://www.cincyjungle.com/cincinnati-bengals-news/173684/bengals-sign-mike-pennel-to-practice-squad
