  1. Raiders rb josh jacobs too. https://www.threads.net/t/CupwJ87yyTL/?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== meanwhile joe mixon sitting pretty on $10 million this year.
  2. This. Is. WILD. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/37965420/the-secret-history-dan-snyder-demise-washington-commanders-owner After reading this I have to say I no longer blame Mikey for voting no all the time. I wouldn’t want to be in agreement with this group of massive a—holes on anything, even the color of the sky or time of day.
  3. Franchise tag deadline coming up next Monday. Up in NY Sarquon Barkley is threatening a holdout. https://www.threads.net/t/Cumrlghgr23/?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==
  4. Jets on Hard Knocks this year, per Schefty: https://www.threads.net/t/CumatYcOcQT/?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==
  5. September 25, MNF. https://www.bengals.com/_mobileview/news/bengals-ring-of-honor-game-2023-monday-night-football-los-angeles-rams
  6. OK for the record I did NOT have “Reds in first at the all-star break” on my bingo card this year.
  7. Right. Only *I* am allowed to re-hash stuff from the bad days! Corey needs to stick to flipping burgers and stay out of my lane.
  8. Huber calls it a career. So long Kevin and thanks for all the kicks. https://www.threads.net/t/CuZfdGruI3_/?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==
  9. It’s weird what you can get used to and as bad as it might have been, you can still miss it because good stuff still happened too. It’s why I still sort of miss when the bengals sucked. Yeah the team was terrible and they drove us crazy but there was still a camaraderie there. I have no real desire to go back but at the same time…those were the days, y’know?
  10. Ah, 2015. Mallet vs. McCarron. A battle for the…um…what’s the opposite of “ages”? Go ahead…watch on YouTube…spoiler: we even win! It just might bring back memories of the…next week.
  11. Well, that’s terrible. I remember wanting Mallet back in 2011. Of course they took Andy in the second and Mallet went to NE in the third. RIP. Condolences to his family and friends. Way too soon, obviously.
  12. Like I said a while back boring offseasons are the best offseasons. I’ve had enough drama with this team for several lifetimes. Plus I’m sure the hamsters powering the server appreciate the break.
  13. Well for one night at least they’re in first!
  14. I suppose anything is possible, but yes it would be beyond unprecedented. Katie would need to be a native of Cargg to pull it off.
  15. Dont look now but they’re half a game out of first place…
  16. So I see Mixon pay cut stories are circulating again, apparently based on some speculation by Dehner that they are going to cut him if he doesn’t take a haircut. Considering that it’s June 19 and camp starts in just over a month, I am skeptical to say the least. If they were going to press this issue I think they would have done it months ago, not in the run up to preseason. Whether they should have is ground that’s been throughly plowed. At this point I don’t see any reason to think Joe won’t be in stripes, at his current (ludicrous) salary come September.
  17. Yeah Tom does a lot of good stuff. Fantastic job by Bengals PR, too. Was a time when they never would have answered the phone for something like this. The football was the perfect touch.
  18. Chido being good to go opening day would be tremendous, even if he isn’t at 100%, so good to see him moving well.
  19. So the investor funding finally ran dry? Surprised it took that long. In any event, that sucks, hope Jay lands on his feet. ETA ah, I see, the founders cashed out last years and left the NYT on the hook. Lol. Couldn’t have happened to a a better (worse) paper! https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2023/06/12/athletic-layoffs-new-york-times/
  20. I have it on good authority that Parker guy is a total jerk. Doesn’t pick up after his dog, doesn’t signal left turns at lights until the light turns green and always puts his dirty dishes in the sink and never the dishwasher. :P
  21. Imma say…Steelers. https://www.nfl.com/news/vikings-officially-release-four-time-pro-bowl-rb-dalvin-cook
  22. This whole discussion is Horst erasure.
  23. It’s the Burrow Effect again. As long as Burrow is playing well and the Bengals are contending for a title (and there’s no reason to think they won’t be again this fall), then Cincy players will be desirable in FA. We saw it this year with Bell and Hurst. As long as he’s healthy someone will offer Boyd a good deal next March. Probably not us, but he’ll get paid.
  24. Sounds like a good life. I’m happy for him.
