  1. Lou is 100% not the problem.  He can scheme just fine, he’s proven that.  Just the old “build through the draft” philosophy but “psyche, we’re not even going to keep the guys we draft and develop (Bates).”  You only hit on a player like that like 5% of the time, and you just let him walk.  It’s football roster malpractice.

  2. "The natives are getting restless again.  Eh, happens every year.  They deserve a special treat and I know just the thing.  Those little cowboy monkeys that ride around at halftime on dogs.  But the guy’s number is in that Franklin Planner from 1997.  Eh, here it is, need to get into this closet... /adjusts elaborate series of trusses, attempts to bend over, falls into closet, unable to right self, begins yelling/ Rosa, Rosa, code orange, I repeat, code orange!'"

  3. Hey Army, Mike can’t help it if these other owners don’t understand good old fashioned fiscal discipline.

If they want to irresponsibly spend their money, and use the Bengals as a sort of triple A feeder system for their teams, that’s on them.

We’ll get a sweet 4th round comp pick we can use on a kid from the SEC whe went to high school locally.  But wait  - the kid is from Cincy and played high school ball locally, like 4 pairs of season tickets will get sold as a result of that signing.  Mike’s playing 4D chess while these other owners are playing checkers.

  4. Mike Brown should sell this team to Jeff Bezos.  Bezos is on so much gear he could practically play for the team.  Oh and there is also his gigantic fortune from delivering toothpaste to people’s houses.  We’d actually be one of these good teams adding players, defrauding the cap somehow, and winning Super Bowls.

  5.  Now (3-5) - “the rams were 3-6 last year and made the playoffs”

In a couple weeks (3-7) - “the visogoths were like 1-9 against the Romans then in 410 they got a wildcard spot and sacked Rome.”

In a month and a half (4-10) - “ Original Sin was facing a seasonal sweep from Adam then Original Sin’s Joe Burrow and Jamarr Chase showed up (Eve and The Serpent), man’s downfall ensued now Satan has ruled for a gazillion years.  Go Bengals.”

These coaches need to figure out why this team can’t finish! I mean the stats on some of these guys are insane, and they are 4-6.

The difference between other good teams and this team, there owners are not afraid to make there team even better. They go out and get better depth, even find starters. The bengals always sit back and do nothing while everyone else around them get better. They totally wasted a year that could have been something special.

You are not kidding.  And what will they do to get better next year?  Just draft and hope they get that magic mix of players that will make it their turn to win a Super Bowl.

There is no strategic thinking in this organization.  Just a method that is adhered to come hell or high water.  Works in some areas of life, not in managing an nfl team.

    Sell this team now.

I only hope the ownership addresses the lack of defense and coaching in the off season

Before you post something like this again I’d appreciate it if you’d take my $39.99 online course; “Oxcart; The Mysterious Obstacle to NFL Success.”  It’s a masterclass in old timey, aw shucks financial management of a modern billion dollar business.  Lesson number one is entitled, “Do Nothing.  Seriously, Don’t Do Shit”

  8. Tough matchup Thursday.  I doubt anyone in here is overconfident, put it that way.

Unrelated - I read that Burton scrubbed all bengals stuff from his social media DURING the game Sunday.  Looks like probably a lost year for that kid, I hope he can collect himself and become productive at some point.

  9. “Buh gawd, at Dartmouth we didn’t call up Colgate and ask to trade players, we went right out and played with the guys we had! And great fellows they were!  I remember old Trip Buffington, what a great  lineman, linebacker, safety, tight end, placekicker, and emergency quarterback he was!  We’ll be fine.  Folks are loving coming down to the ol’ stadium on game day!”
