The positive press is at an all time high for the Bengals right now after this trade.

PFT says the Bengals have the pieces in place to be good for a long time. When's the last time you heard a sentence like that?

2005, unfortunately. Hopefully things go a wee bit better this time. So far, so good (knocks on wood).

Yeah... but the praise was destroyed with Palmer's ACL. This team doesn't seem to be nearly as reliant on any one player... and now they have a ton of early picks over the next two years.

Just think... 2 months ago, people said the Bengals were the worst franchise in sports. Now they are saying the Bengals are going to be a contender in the AFC North regularly. The media is one fickle bitch.

That's just how the ACL crumbles!

A little blurb from Mel Kiper's take on the trade:

Suddenly, fellow AFC North teams have to be looking at the young core Cincy has, plus the bounty of early picks over the next two years, and wonder if there might be a developing bully in the division. And that statement is no more odd than anything else that took place today.

Okay, back to people who are actually still on the team. Anatomy of a play - Dalton to Green:

That's the first time I've seen that play. Outside of the athleticism of Green and the superb placement of the ball by Dalton, there's the pass blocking allowing this play to get off successfully.

Impressive no doubt.

Great link. Thanks Skyline.

Funny thing though... at 2:19. I had never heard Jay Gruden's voice before, and he sounds exactly like his brother.

Actually that's offensive pass interference but they never call that in the NFL.

Perhaps it's time to revisit my treasured "Be the Bully" rant.

Here, sky, this from Hobson should make you happy.

Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis came into the media room after the game and chuckled because there were only three reporters there. He apparently likes it that way because he has always said he prefers it when his team is under the radar.
