Ox
There's one pick that I don't see happening. I think it might go more like this -28.) Pittsburgh - LenDale White, RB, USCThe Steelers make an effort to replace the smash mouth running skills of Jerome Bettis better than Willie Parker has been able to.Wouldn't that be just wonderful! kurgan74
Ko Simpson would be a very nice pickup. I would not mind that at all.
NJ29
Ko Simpson would be a GREAT pickup....Jacksonville won't take White, though. They are very high on Greg Jones, and I wouldn't be suprised to see him take over full time in the next year or two.

If the Steelers lose to Denver today, I expect Bettis to return next year (because of his fumble against the Colts). Either way, you're probably right. Whur CHad At?
This is prob. going to be the most accurate mock draft ever. I do see us takin Ko Simpson at 24...I really like this one.
kentjett
If Jimmy Williams is gone, which is a good possibility, Simpson would be my next pick. I'd be happy w/ that pick. I wouldn't mind drafting Vernon Davis but he is the only TE worth drafting in the first round.
Kazkal
White will go 10-20ish imo
kingwilly
V. Davis will be gone by 27.Ko Simpson is decent but I think Wroten will be there at 24 and we would snag him over Ko.
Whur CHad At?
Are you kidding Kingwilly??!We don't take players with Mary Jane problems this early. Wrotten is good and all, but Ko Simpson is by far the best Safety in this draft. He is a TRUE playmaker, something we really need on this D. kingwilly
His MJ "Charge" got dropped...who knows wjhy. I'm not looking for a chior boy...are you? Ko is damn good, I'm not arguing that.SS is a big need but not as big as D-line...FA can solve the SS position. When a rook SS gets burned it is for 6, plain and simple. When a rook DT gets burned there are 10 more guys to make the tackle...won't cost us 6. Who's kidding here?I'll take Whitner in the 3rd over Ko in the first, if we can land a Wroten or Kiwanuka type guy.
Tasher
right, S is not nearly as big a need as DT, after all the DTs go in XL category at >300. S only range in the 190s to 220s But in all seriousness, the Safety is a bigger need because it is the glue of the two aspects of defense, run and pass. If you have below average safeties both aspects are bound to be poor, or if the S can only do a good job in one or the other. WE DO NOT CURRENTLY HAVE a quality safety to shore up the rotation! Herring and Williams are the starters and Herring is going to start to show his age soon. On the D-line we at least have a serviceable set of guys in a experienced rotation. Possibly Askew will have a fire under his A$$ in the offseason which will improve the depth and quality of the DL.Always remember...SAFETY FIRST!
