Jet23 Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 can anyone tell me the extent of his knee injury? is he going to be okay? thanks.Marvin said it will take him like 5 or so weeks to recover, so nothing was torn. Quote
smith288 Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 Nothing a few weeks and a few hits off the bone to keep him relaxed. Quote
Whur CHad At? Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 Maybe some of the mari jane will help him recover faster Quote
cincy9275 Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 i heard like 6-8 weeks so he will be ok there his problem will be if the nfl decides to fine and suspend him for the weed . he could be suspended for 4 games . so we will have to wait and see whats going on . Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 The weed episode or not, I like this kid. He's got skills, and has demonstrated as much many times. As long as he gets his personal life in check, he's fine by me. EVERYBODY makes a mistake now and again. What they do to recover from it is the key. Personally I think he'll be okay. Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 I say we cut him AND Chad Johnson. I mean we don't need either of them, and they are both such horrible immature people!Damn, I must have gotten some second hand smoke of Walzav.I'm better now. Lets get him into a rehab program, and I'm not talking about for his knee, that'll heal on it's own. Lets take care of his REAL problem. Quote
Stripes Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 If Uncle Sam would just legalize the stuff this would be a non-issue. I was extremely impressed with Henry this year. Who'd have expected him to produce 6 touchdowns coming into the season? Pair that with his impressive 400+ yards, and you have a rookie season not only better than Chad's, but vastly better. If we were to allow him to continue developing and use him as the number two, we'd be unstoppable. Against single coverage, he was getting open deep all year long. With he and Chad on the outside and T.J./Tab/Walter in the slot we'll be unstoppable. Hell add a tight end to that, and we'd have one of the best offenses of all time.Keep as much of it intact as possible, we really have something great going here. Quote

Gotta go with " The Meister " on this one. I mean really .............. imagine ... a college aged kid smokin pot Hopefully he learns his lesson and goes on from there. He's already a serious threat ... and he's a rookie ! Just wait till he gets some experience to go along with all that talent. Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 Nothing like having a poor man's Randy Moss as your #3 WR.That 60 yard pass he caught that knocked both he and Carson out was probably the most cruel sports moment of my lifetime...although it won't have nearly the lasting power that Krumrie's did. They need to have an off-season counselor/trainer follow that kid around everywhere he goes and keep him working hard and in-line...he's too good to let go astray. Oh I'm sure he'll have a lot of attention .. whether he wants it or not. and speaking of Krumrie, he got fired by the Bills. Quote

Stripes Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 One thing I hope we get out of Henry next year is a little more effort. I have a lasting memory of his lazy one-hand attempt at catching Palmer's 33rd touchdown throw of the year against the Chiefs. That was embarassing. Not to rain on his parade though. Next year he could fast develop into a fan favorite like T.J. has. Quote

I was honestly out of my seat after jumping up with my hands in the air, then they cut to carson on the ground, and i fell back against the wall and sulked to the ground. I knew right away the game was over. Kit is a great guy but he had no chance. Even if we beat pitt, Jon wasnt going to lead us to a super bowl, realistically.I remember thinking "This WAS too good to be true" once they said palmer tore his acl. Quote

Even if we beat pitt, Jon wasnt going to lead us to a super bowl, realistically.I remember thinking "This WAS too good to be true" once they said palmer tore his acl. That is to a "T" what me and everyone around me was thinking. I felt like I saw a family member get hurt and then just having to go on with things. I remember saying to my brother, "It doesn't matter now. Even if we win, Kitna can't get us any further. The playoffs are a tournament and we aren't gonna win." And the worst part is then we had to watch it unfold. 5 minutes into the game you know who's gonna win. A script we are well familiar with. A Bengals' quarterback looking like a deer in headlights. It was a flashback to a game I went to in Baltimore a couple of years ago. Watching Kitna throw int's to linebackers and run like a stuck pig as Ray Lewis dragged his sorry butt down time after time. Yet at half time I remember thinking we had a chance. Then the 3rd quarter happened. Then reality hit like a cast iron skillet to the head. After 15 years or dreaming about that night, we were left at the prom wondering what it would have been like to go with someone else. Screw Kimo Von Cheaterhoffen and the rest of the Steelers. YOu had to cheat to win, and you almost didn't.Vote for Pedro Quote
