You have to remember to play 4 quarters of football. Sorry about Carson.

This ain't smack! Moving it to appropriate forum. First time I've gone this direction all night! Thanks Cape Cod. Your post is too classy to leave in the Smack Forum. B)

Something along these lines would show a millions times more class than pretty much all of you have shown tonight:

"Sorry about the Carson injury, that sucks bad. Wish we could have seen how that game had gone straight up, but we sure won't give back the win. Hope he heals and we look forward to this rivalry for years to come."

Now THAT would be well received. Just a thought.

Yes, I will be sure to tell Carson to play four quarters of football next time.

I totally agree with that statement. Very unfortunate... I have no ill will toward any Bengal players. The way that game started I wasn't sure if either team would be able to field 22 guys by then end. It was looking like they'd be going Iron Man by the second half. Lots of injurys early.

As I have said many times before -- over on the mcmillanandwife.com site -- this is only the beginning of a long and beautiful (revival of a) classic rivalry. The Browns v1.0 (Baltimore) had one fluke good year, the Browns v2.0 (Cleveland) have a long way to go before they ever become worthy of the smashmouth AFC North/Central...the Titans and the Jags are off in their own little divisions...so that leaves only two real teams in this division...ones that have gone toe-to-toe since the inception of the modern (post AFL-NFL merger) AFCN/C. Pittsburgh. Cincinnati.

Can't wait to kick your butts next year.

You guys played a great first half. I don't mind admitting that I was a little worried. It will be a interesting battle next year. But for now, ON TO DETROIT!

Yeah, yeah. I heard the same comments from Steeler fans last year around this time about Jacksonville, and that was with a 15-1 record. We all saw the wheels fall off soon afterwards, and if you ask me they're bolted on even looser this year.

 Did you forget already where the Super Bowl was played last season? Here, I'll say it real slow. It's...about...the...Steelers...not...making...it...to...the...Superbowl...in..

Detroit....this...season...just...as...they...didn't...make...it...to...the...Super...Bowl...in...Jacksonville..last...season.

Not...going...to...happen...AGAIN.

I hope uncle Bill sent Dicky V or Marty Shots a thank you card for even being there at all.

I was hoping Big Ben got the ball shoved so far up his ass during the game, but then again the Bengals are a classy team. They dont cheat, and do dirty cheap shots like the Steelers do.

The Steelers are a dirty team. They didn't win fair and square.

Well I disagree not. (btw long time no see.) The hit was not intentional as the one the Bengals suffered during the Bronco's game last season. THAT was intentional!

Let me begin by giving my deepest sympathies about Carson. What is especially bad is that it was in the beginning of the game. Kitna didnt play horrible though. It would have been good to see the Roethlisberger v. Palmer showdown. Cinci put up an excellent effort considering everything they were against. Welcome to a place where Steelers fans know well, losing big playoff games at home. I thought with everything that went on, it was still one of the best games that I have seen all season. No ill of any meaning to any cincinatti fans, look forward to seeing the rivalry continue. Any of you guys going to be pulling for the Steelers in next week?

Take Care.

I think you are completely wrong. Kimo was going down when he hit Palmer, and incase you couldnt tell by his behavior, he didnt mean to do that. Cool off, re-watch the hit and see that it was unintentional. In any event, Carson had all the room to move away.

Had more Steeler fans had shown some class like you, and a (very) few others have, maybe. But seeing the overwhelming number of trolls that roll in just to gloat, hell no! Sorry, but too many a**h***s showed up before you got here. You, my friend are a distinct minority in Steelerdom. :(

i have and no i hope you get you faces pounded in to the ground . what comes around goes around

You know, there is really no reason for that type of response. I come onto this board, hoping to get some serious conversation about the game. Yes, my team won. However, I brought respect to the board to the Bengals, and the honor and class that goes with this team. Fact is, I enjoy posting here, there seems to be a pretty good group of people here. Except you. Get over it, remember after the last Pitt Cinci game? Cinci was the better team that day, Pitt was the better team this day. So if you are going to reply to my posts, have some class (which Bengals fans openly admit to having more of than Steelers fans). Show the class that you speak of.

Thanks. Can't in all honesty root for the Steelers, but am looking forward to a long butt-kicking rivalry! :bengal:

Thanks for the complement, from reading your posts, I appreciate that.

As long as there is acceptance that it may be a butt kicking rivalry on both sides of the ball, Steelers will win some, as the Bengals will win some as well. The making of a good rivalry is never knowing who is going to win, until the 4th Q on game day.

JR it was nice to engage in some meaningful discussion with you this week. You are one of a few that have something to say and I hope you will hang around or check back next year.

As I said earlier this week, I think it has something to do with your age.
