derekshank Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 Looks like it will be in the mid 40's on Sunday. God bless global warming! Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 hehe, good weather bodes well for our Bengals'.I'm ready for the playoffs - is it Saturday yet? Ugh. Quote
Stripes Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 This is good news indeed. We won't have to bear all the bland "Palmer can't win in bad weather" crap if this forecast holds up all week.If we end up in the AFC Championship, it'll be nice to see us at full speed in a dome. Quote
duus Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 Am I right that I see that the forecast for Cincy on Sunday is 52 degrees? It says "showers", so we'll need to see what that means. "Showers" ... I can hear the Steeler fans now ... "Bad weather! ... the wheels on the Bus go round ... ". Blah, blah, blah. Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 Local forecast: SATURDAY: Partly sunny and dry. High: 41Not exactly "warm," but the weather shouldn't be a factor at this point. Quote
OSUwhodey Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 Local forecast: SATURDAY: Partly sunny and dry. High: 41Not exactly "warm," but the weather shouldn't be a factor at this point.Game is sunday NOT saturday, and yes it forcasted to be 52 on sunday Quote
derekshank Posted January 6, 2006 Author Report Posted January 6, 2006 Looks like any rain (only a 20% chance) is supposed to come in the night. 52 and sunny during the day? No excuses guys. Quote
Stripes Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 Sounds like a perfect enviornment for us to dominate. If we do win and end up playing Denver, we might see what our stripes can do under a blizzard... Quote
LB51 Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 Forecast has dropped a tad. High of 47 with slim chance of some light showers. Still in our favor. The wheels on the bus go FLAT,FLAT,FLAT!! Quote
oldschooler Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 weather.com says 52 degrees and cloudy...with a 20% chance of rain.http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/USOH...Link_undeclared Quote
TIMEsteelersfan Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 Keep in mind guys that the high may be around 50 degrees, but kickoff is at 4:30 and it should be a lot colder as the game goes on... probably around 40 by kickoff and dropping to the mid thirties by half time. Still not freezing cold, but cold enough for football. I can't wait. Quote

duus Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 Oh yeah, and the important wind forecast for Sunday:Winds S at 5 to 10 mph. Quote
duus Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 Current weather forecast As long as the 'windy' doesn't somehow move from Saturday to Sunday ... Quote
membengal Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 Now calling for 54 degrees for an afternoon high. Not much wind.Absolutely ideal forecast for Cincy in January. Not sure you can get much better for january 8. Quote
duus Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 Ugh. This was my fear. They have now moved the "windy" prediction (20 - 30 mph) to tomorrow. I was afraid that might happen as the weekend progressed. Quote

I was afraid that might happen as the weekend progressed. Awesome! We'll enjoy seeing all those sore thumb Big Ben throws wobbling and falling into the hands of our secondary. Quote

May tomorrow be the day when my dreams come true! Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 Yeah the wind is ridiculous outside right now - will definitely be a big issue tomorrow if it stays this way...but the point about Ben's thumb could give us the advantage there - the Bengals simply have to stop Bettis and Parker, and cover Ward.Weather forecast says it's blowing west right now - but out here east of town it's definitely blowing east. A crosswind isn't a good thing for throwing the ball either way - we'll need a passing game to win this one, but Palmer will still have the advantage, judging how Ben threw with that thumb last week. Quote
duus Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 Hmmm ... if it's that windy right now, maybe I can hold out some hope of no wind because the web shows little wind now and windy tomorrow. I would be curious what the local weather guys are saying. Quote
haf5er Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 weather.com is calling for 19 mph winds at 4:00 and temps in the mid 50's...can't ask for better temps in cincy this time of year. Quote
