combatbengal Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 Who do we want in the 1sst round of the playoffs. We're 1-1 against the Steelers this year and 0-1 against the Jags. If we're going to make it past the first round, our Def has to step it up. The DB's can't get burnt down field and we have to make tackles. Our takeaways were awesome this year, but our tackling sucked. Quote
LB51 Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 I believe that Jax is a better matchup right now. But with that said, it's the playoffs and every team is gonna be juiced. I personally want to play the Stoolers so we can smack them and their fans. Quote
Ox Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 Steelers. No question. It's time to put up or shut up. And these motherf*ckers need to shut up. Quote
HoosierCat Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 Honestly, I'm nowhere near as concerned about who shows up at PBS next weekend, as I am which Bengals offense shows up at PBS next weekend. Will it be the awe-inspiring, point-pounding, TD machine we saw in games like Indy and Balt II? Or will it be the misfiring, pass-dropping, too-many-FG-kicking, what-the-hell-happened-to-Rudi O that we saw last week and against Cleveland three weeks back?If it's the former, our opponent doesn't matter, we win. If it's the latter, our opponent doesn't matter, we lose. Quote
bengals4ever Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 Count me as wanting the squeelers. Its the rivalry thingy. Bring 'em back to the jungle. Quote

When the defense stumbles, which they do about as often as your average raging alcoholic, the offense usually can compensate. Whoa. It just hit me. The Bengals high scoring offense is ENABLING the defense to remain weak! S**t. Quote
