duus Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 There is a rumor flying around in Pittsburgh that Maddox will start today. The Steelers are denying it, but Benji has not yet been seen on the field today. Quote
NJ29 Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 Yes, if that's true, it's definately significant. Quote
duus Posted December 4, 2005 Author Report Posted December 4, 2005 Ben's on the field, with gloves on.Any other updates to this (if there are any), will go in the pinned thread. Quote
Bengalbob Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 Potentially great news!!! I'm not one of those "I want to play against their best players" kind of guys. No one cares in the end if you beat a team's #1 or #3 QB. The win is all that counts. Shame on the Squeelers for not working to get better back-ups for Rottenburger . . . Is anyone giving the Bengals sympathy for loosing the Colts game because Madieu is on IR? Quote
palmermvp Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 ESPN just reported that BIGBEN has a very sore thumb and he can't grip or throw the ball with any velocity. Ben said" He is going to try to play"! Looks like Tommy Maddox might play. GO BENGALS! Quote

Is anyone giving the Bengals sympathy for loosing the Colts game because Madieu is on IR?Ben just told Ed Werner on ESpin that the thumb is VERY sore and he is goign to TRY to play through it. If you watched Countdown, Jackson and Young were livid that you would announce that you were hurt and may not be able to go to the media. It ought to be an interesting day. With the wind and cold, I would think Ben will have trouble doing anything out there. Quote
AMC Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 Wow....Let Rottenburger try and play....Maybe with that thumb we will throw up some ducks for Tory and Deltha... Quote
NYBengalfan Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 With OR without Ben, I can feel it that we will win. Quote
benglsdrumr Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 If we do beat PItt and Ben wasnt playing, we know what excuse we'll be hearing throughout the rest of the season and the haunting question if we could beat a good team. guess what? WHO GIVES A CRAP! injuries are part of the game baby. Like it was posted before, no one says anything about Madieu's injury hurting us (except ourselves of course) so just shut up and play football. Besides, Ben doesnt need his hands for throwing cuz all he does is hand it off the majority of the time. Maybe Randle El will get some reps. Quote
haf5er Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 I don't think it matters, we have to stop the run no matter what. Quote
NYBengalfan Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 Like you said they gotta stop the run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It doesnt matter who plays qb, if we stop the run. Everyone but squeeler fans will shut up and leave us alone. If we stop the run today all the talk is over. Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 Ben is fine, and is bluffing. Quote
