jditty47
i wouldnt go as far as missing the playoffs but i could see them losing all 3.
Bengal_Brad
Wow, very few times I agree with him, but this time he is dead on. I can definately see Pitt losing 3 in a row, that will be totally up to us (Bengals). It has occured to me that Chicago could actually beat them too. Can you imagine in 3 weeks "we" could be 10-3 and Pitt could be 7-6?
bengalboomer7
In the words of the great Lee Corso "Not so fast my friend"i actually wish I could get a job as a sportswriter. ShulaSteakhouse
I look at Pitt losing to the Ravens last week, Big Ben or not, and if I'm Marvin i'm grabbing each Bengal by his throat telling him this division is theirs and there's absolutely no excuse not to win it.At this point in time, I think the Bengals are a better team than Pitt, and/or can be, and should over-take them to win the division. There is no reason the Bengals cannot do this.Pitt is NOT that good! jditty47
pitt is that good with big ben in...even i have to admit that. 2nd best team in the afc after the colts with big ben in.
ShulaSteakhouse
pitt is that good with big ben in...even i have to admit that. 2nd best team in the afc after the colts with big ben in.Yep they were, I think Denver is for now until Pitt proves otherwise, and they start with Indy Monday night on the road...if Ben comes back guess we'll see.Maddox didn't lose the game for them against the Ravens, he just didn't win the game. Boller and Lewis were awful and Pitt still couldn't pull it out. They lost games with Ben too, and his 21 pass attempts per game when he starts.I'm not being a homer, just not overly impressed with Pitt and see no reason why the Bengals can't beat them soundly if they get their sh$T together for 4 quarters. 7/11
pitt is that good with big ben in...even i have to admit that. 2nd best team in the afc after the colts with big ben in.agreed. rberger is the most effic ient qb in the league. the steelers qb play has been terrible w/out rberger...that's probably why they lost to the ratbirds. skyline
I see Pitt as being much more vulnerable this year, even with Ben. Mainly due to their current dropoff in the running game. It's not good enough to carry them right now...
bengalindian
I don't care. I hate Jason Whitlock.
Turi
I think we're going to the playoffs. I said before the season started the AFCN will have a wildcard birth. It's looking likely it will be us because, yes, those next three games are HARD.
Stripes
We always get our hopes up that something like this will happen to the Steelers, and it never happens. I don't see it happening this time either. When Roethlisberger makes it back into the lineup, then the Steelers are without question an elite team in the AFC. I highly doubt they will lose to Chicago. They have a defense capable of stopping Kyle freaking Orton and Adrian Peterson/Thomas Jones. They will more than likely lose in Indianapolis, but after that, it is all up to us. This division is ours for the taking, but if we can't beat them, they WILL win it.
walshfan
That loss to the Ravens has to eating away at Cowher....Both of us 2-1 in the division again...It means the Bengals can control their own destiny again and that means beating the Ratbirds Stoolers and Stains to claim the prize. steelwarrior
There is no doubt that we are a differant team with Ben in the game, Also this monday will be the first game of the season that we will have all three running backs healthy. Its really kinda of funny if you think about it, we are 7-3 same as your team, better then the pats, but people keep saying we are not that good this year. I really don't get it. we were with out our starting QB for three games. Ben has lost ONE regular season game, Thats total since he came into the league as a rookie last year, yet no one seems that impressed with him, again I don't get it. what woild the colts record be without Manning for three games, undefeated I don't think so, and honestly what would be your record without Palmer for three games, I bet it would have cost you at least one game, which puts you at 6-4, one game behind us. Lets face it even as a steeler fan i am not sure how good we really are, but don't you think that a team that went 15-1 last year, and is 7-3 this year, with their starting QB out three games, should be given the benefit of the doubt as to how good they are untill its proven otherwise, And I honestly don't think it has been proven. This is not a slam in any way, and if you look at my other post here I think you will agree, But Didn't we beat you pretty soundly at your house this year? and are you not concidered to be a good football team?I think Carson Palmer is one of the best QB's in the league right now, so can you imagine what your record would be if tommy maddox was your QB for three games.steelwarrior
Ox
Good Post. I agree on all topics. We would be in trouble if Carson went down, however, Kitna is night and day in comparison to Tommy. So in that aspect, I doubt we would be as hard off as you all were.
steelwarrior
I just wanted to add that I know injurys are part of the game and every team has to endure them, and I am not using that as an excuse for our 7-3 record. on the contrary I am happy with a 7-3 record with or without Ben. I think that was the point I was trying to make, we are still at 7-3, which is a good record, ya we got beat by the ravens, but thats why they play the games, on any givin sunday, I think thats the catch fraze.I can name several teams that would trade spots with either one of our teams, and be able to actually be excited about what the rest of the year will bring.steelwarrior
