BENGALTHEM Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 Starting Shaun Smith.................it can't hurtTry using Kelley Washington at TE on passing downs.and bring up Indiana Jones................Ohalate is pissing me off. He can hit, but sometimes he misses tackles and he's too slow. What do you guys think? Quote
bengalindian Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 It's too late in the season. Maybe next season. Quote
sodikart Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 I agree make Kelley Washington a TE. Quote
jjakq27 Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 I agree make Kelley Washington a TE. Me too. If he bulked up a little he could be good. Quote
jditty47 Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 either convert him to TE or get rid of him...he aint gonna make it as a WR on the bengals no more. well robinson is out for the week so smith can get the start for all i care...i hope askew is activated though...marvin said the reason hes been inactive is cuz of maturity. grow up!!!and as for ohalete...that mother f**ker sucks donkey balls. NJ29 Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 I like it. Bring 'em up. That would at least give us an option besides frickin Ohalete.Oh, and a, what about Body? Quote
BENGALTHEM Posted November 24, 2005 Author Report Posted November 24, 2005 Body too......................anything but ohalate. Quote
Stripes Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 If we were 2-8, I'd agree with all these proposed changes, and they'd have already happened. We're 7-3. Don't fix it if it ain't broke. Quote
JPW Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 I agree make Kelley Washington a TE.Can he BLOCK like a TE has to ? Quote

bengalindian Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 Yep, the D line is definitely broke, and so is safety. Might wanna try to fix that if a playoff run is gonna happen. Quote

Don't fix it if it ain't broke.Ever watch a Nascar race? If the leading driver is having problems with his car even though he's winning the race he'll pull in to fix it..This analogy could pertain to the Bengals....Hey we do have a problem at SS and DT... If DT Shaun Smith or one of the reserve safeties looks extra good in practice maybe give them so extra reps gametime to see how they hold up...Winning the division is one thing.. Getting thru the playoffs against the best competion is quite another.. Quote
AMC Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 I agree make Kelley Washington a TE.No way they resign Washington after this year. He is absolutely not going to be a Bengal next year. Any experimenting at TE would be a waste of time. The TE position is in relatively good hands this year. I see them addressing it in the offseason but not with KW. The only way you see Indiana Jones or Body is if there are injuries. I don't see them just bringing up people from the PS on a 7-3 team...That's what the offseason is for. I don't see it as FIXING, I see it as IMPROVING....but not during a playoff run!If we were 2-8, I'd agree with all these proposed changes, and they'd have already happened. We're 7-3. Unlike the Dave Shula years (!), I feel they know more about their schemes and personnel than we do.... Quote
Stripes Posted November 25, 2005 Report Posted November 25, 2005 Agreed AMC. I think the reasons they are steering clear of all these new safety ideas is that we are in the thick of a division race, and this is no time to start inserting new players into new positions (Patrick Body) or bring in raw, rookie talent (Indiana Jones). If we held on to Ronnie Ghent, I think he could be worth a shot, however. I doubt any team will, and if no team does, he can be cut later. Quote
