MexicanFan
I'm sad for the loss but proud for the team and I'm sure they will win the AFC NORTH. I miss Madieu because Ohalete had a lot of big mistakes; guess the Wayne's 66 yards TD was in some point a bad cover by Ohalete. If you see the Chad's 68 yards TD, the safety was close to stop Chad, other than Ohalete came realy late and whit an awful no-tackling finish.(sarry my english). And if Madeiu is out of the game, Ohalete is In.By the way GO BENGAS!!! VAMOS BENGALIES!!!

kingwilly
Here's a thought, since Ohalete really had a bad game and KK also was exposed by the top flight WR on Indy....Give Tab Perry some snaps at SS or FS. He is very fast, knows how to run routes which to me is the basis for covering a guy and can tackle...

Safeties aren't supposed to be 1 on 1 with a receiver, especially strong safeties. They are the SAFETY valve for the corners, not coverage guys. kingwilly
Are we going to belabor the fact that I wrote "covering a guy"?You know exactly what i meant. Safeties have to be able to cover. It may not be their primary job ( I'm not suggestiong Tab step in for Deltha!) but it is a highly desirable trait and that is indisputable. They have to pick up the TE many times, pick up a RB out of the backfield, and move well in space, in coverages...damn, what are you missing about this?Get a clue? Tab is built just like many Safeties:Lynch - 6-2 220Darius - 6-1 225Sharper - 6-2 210Harrison - 6-1 220Dawkins - 6-0 210Taylor - 6-2 231T. Perry - 6-3 215....sounds about right to me.....he can run and tackle. I'm not saying start him every down but how is it unreasonable to think he could come in for Ohalete as part of a nickel or dime? What was your problem again? He is very fast, knows how to run routes which to me is the basis for covering a guy and can tackle...I had the same thought a couple weeks back after Lap passed a comment during one of the games that UCLA had initially recruited Tab as a safety. I don't believe he actually played at DB any in college, tho. But yeah, he has the size, he likes to hit (as evidenced by his ST play) and his opportunities at wideout are obviously limited because of the abundance of talent ahead of him. At this point in the season, tho, I think it's something you look at in the offseason. While we're on the subject of DBs, tho, one thing I haven't seen mentioned anywhere is the good job O'Neal did. He had Harrison to cover and tho Marvin got a few grabs he was far less of a factor than Clark or Wayne.

Stacy Andrews is thick enough. Listen people, this is the NFL. You can't just switch people to new positions because it looks like they have the proper build or speed or whatever for that position. These are the best at what they do in the world (I think we saw that yesterday), and throwing people into new positions whenever there is trouble is not the answer, and never will be. Stop mentioning it, because it won't happen.
jditty47
worst part of that whole game was the safeties. terrible, just terrible.
joshh967
I agree that ohalete completely looks like sh*t, but Kaesviharn i have been thinking since the beginning of the season isnt looking that bad. Coming in as a veteran (backup) to the defense has really been helpful with the injuries that has been sustained to the position anyway. Besides, i hated kim herring anyways. I wish williams would come back though.

BULLDOG28
How long will it be before Marvin benches this guy? I'd much rather see Keiwan Ratliff (Who played well as a safety fill in last year....See Pittsburgh game) or Anthony Mitchell, who always seems to make plays when he gets in. How about even activating "Indiana" Jones? At least you won't lose anything in the running game and he won't miss tackles....or even Pat Body, who had a helluva preseason. Who can we get in free-agency this year or through the draft?
