schweinhart Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 Great game to watch.I'm just glad to know the difference between the Bengals going to the Super Bowl or not isn't Corey Simon. Nice game by Pittsburgh today to keep the Bengals neck and neck with them. Quote
turningpoint Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 unfortunate.it was a tail of the 4th down. Quote
steelwarrior Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 hats off to the bengals you are the real deal, look forward to our upcoming game with you. I am truely impressed with the points you put up today, with the way we played against the ravens today and the way you played the colts, HMMMMMM. It could be the final game of the season before we have a afcn champion. I don't want to say congrats on a game you did not win, But I will say congrats on the season you are having so far. steelwarrior Quote

Having James Farrior back would also help.Whoever wins when the Bengals travel to Pittsburgh deserves to win the North.I don't want to say good luck vs. Colts, though. But I have no doubts that the Steelers D won't get gashed all game long like the Bengals D did. Quote

Whur CHad At? Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 I am looking foward to the Bengals/Steelers game. Who ever looses might not make the playoffs. I am sure it will be a dog fight.Congrats to the Colts. Hopefully this was a good preview for the AFC championship game:)if we can make it that far. Quote
PMThor Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 question. Do not take this as a bash on Indy. They won and deserved to do so. But I ask about the no call delay of game calls. There were two, one ended up being an offsides on the Bengals because they jumped the clock at .1. Then that defensive interference call on Torraye James in the 1st quarter. I am simply asking from your point of view, what did a Colts fan think of those calls (or non calls). Please don't think that they would have changed the outcome. Because they wouldn't have made a difference. I just wonder what you guys think. Quote
Whur CHad At? Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 Yea, I think the Bengals were getting screwed on some penalties like the Pass Inteference calls, those were unbelievably terrible calls. Colts didnt get called for anything, and I remeber Chad, and Henry getting knocked down and no flags were thrown. Whats up with that? Quote

Good luck for the rest of the season!! Right back at ya, Edge! Whatta game!Hooked up wth a friend, there was gumbo, jambalaya, ribs, and Harp flowing from the tap...and a bar full of Steeler fans grumbling at my Palmer jersey . Once the Ravens won I was just up for a good game, and boy did we get one!See you in the AFC championship game! But I'll tell ya now...the ending will be different! Quote

BengalszoneBilly Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 dude that game was called legitimatelyI feel it was too. The Refs did their job reasonably well IMHO. Our defense, on the other hand... now we're talking some serious illegitimacy here. AGAIN! Hopefully we'll see you guy's (Edge and omaha) again soon. Quote
HairOnFire Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 I don't want to say good luck vs. Colts, though. I'll say it. Good luck Colts. In fact, I hope you go undefeated. Whip the Steelers. Whip the Jags. Whip the Chargers. Yeah, I'm looking for a little help now, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Quote
HairOnFire Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 dude that game was called legitimately I won't go so far as to claim it cost the Bengals the game, but the lack of a pass interference call against the Colts on the early pass to Chad Johnson bugged me the entire game. And apparently it still does. The early contact by a Colt defender was pretty blatant as was the hold on Chad's left arm as he attempted to catch the ball. Yet no flag was thrown for either infraction and the end result of the drive was a Bengal FG instead of a TD. Again, I won't try to claim it cost the Bengals the game because there was so much more football to play and they made enough mistakes of their own to cost them a chance to win. But I swear to you, everytime I looked at the score during the game I had to stop myself from wondering how differently the game would be played if the Bengals had a slight lead....or trailed by less than a TD. Last, I'm just thinking out loud, and want to make it clear that I'm not suggesting their was a conspiracy. Quote
membengal Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 Right there with you hof. That pretty much echoes my sentiments in the officials thread. As evenly matched as that game was between two stellar offenses, and two defenses without a clue, how the refs award the intereferences (or don't award them) gets really magnified.
