lando griffin Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 Dropped passes, fumbles all the time....I really don't like Schobel. Sure he has one big play once in a blue moon but I hope he gets cut in the near future... Quote
Kazkal Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 tony would get the cut before schobel, Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 tony would get the cut before schobel,Two other TE's would go long before he would. Quote
andybren Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 So this is the point where somebody says we can trade Rudi for Tony Gonzalez, etc. Personally I've learned to stop worrying and love Brat's non-TE offense. Give me a good defense tackle first. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 Give me a good defense tackle first. Now here's a man who recognizes what the Bengals need the most! Quote
Indycat Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 Get rid of Jonathan Hayes and get a TE coach that has a clue as to how to make our TE's a productive part of the offense. Quote
Stripes Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 I agree with getting rid of Schobel. I think both Stewart and Kelley are more versatile and fit better in this scheme. We could find someone better than Schobel to take on the pass catching role pretty easily. Quote
lando griffin Posted November 7, 2005 Author Report Posted November 7, 2005 I wasn't saying TE is out biggest priority and we should focus on that rather than DT's or whatnot. I just can't stand watching Schobel, its like he doesnt want to be out there, he drops balls and it takes the smallest hit to make him fumble. You see interviews of him and he look so unenthusiastic about football. Our other two TE's may be good at blocking but they're still garbage. Might as well just put one of the backup lineman in theew if their only job is to block and not catch anything--I'm sure they'd be better than Kelly or Stewart. Quote
Spain Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 The real ? is ! who falls to us in the draft! How the FAs play out! Its impossible to tell, however a TE rookie would have a bigger impact than a DT our SS IMHO! Quote
Kazkal Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 Schobel will stay till we get another receiving TE,Yes he makes some mistakes but if he was used more often he'd more then likely be able to get in the groove of things. Quote
cover2 Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 Schobel will stay till we get another receiving TE,Yes he makes some mistakes but if he was used more often he'd more then likely be able to get in the groove of things.Walters is fast making the most of the chances given and Schobel has been here for some time and is less than average. When you cough up the ball like he (Schobel) did yesterday that is a huge negative that could have been a disaster. It was great to see Tab Perry score yesterday, a great move. He is a much better player than I expected him to be. Quote
Kazkal Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 happened vs ravens who were number 1 at turnovers last year crap happens, when carson fumbled vs the jags people were rdy to hang him Quote
walshfan Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 Oh great .. Now its pick on Schobel week...Did allot of you get tired of Thronton, Perry, TJ, Pollack, Simmons and KK????sigh.... Quote
Spain Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 he has moves , he is blocking better, he will get another shot next I suspect! Quote
