BengalByTheBay Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 Joisey -- thanks, you just made my day. Hilarious. Quote
rtconner Posted November 2, 2005 Author Report Posted November 2, 2005 I just have to point this out..Bruschi just won AFC defensive player of the week (over Detha and his picks I'll add). This is hystarical. They article says he has 10 tackles, but if you look for yourself you'll see he only has 2 tackles and 5 assists. Why does the NFL feel the need to blatently lie to us?I think this should also piss you guys off since Deltha really deserves this and the NFL just stole it from him and gave it to an undeserving cripple for reasons that I doubt any of us will ever understand. Nothing against Brucshi himself but dang this really makes me hate the guy. Quote
BengalByTheBay Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 Terrible -- an embarassment. Quote
bengalindian Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 That's freakin hilarious Joisey. And that's a freakin shame that Bruschi got the Player of the week. That's GREAT that you came back from a minor stroke to play football! Good for you! Why is the NFL martyring him like he's Lance Armstrong? He didn't do anything special to turn the game around, the Patriots would have probably played at the same level without him. That's ridiculous. I don't even care that Deltha should have won it, but still, it's ludicrous for the NFL and ESPN to make up stats that he didn't have. Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 My over all impression of the game was that the Bills had out-played the Pats for almost the entire game and that it was going to be a very hard loss for the Bills to recover from.See, that's just it for me. No matter what anyone turned in for, the fact of the matter is that an actual football game broke out last night. I realize this is inconvenient for espn, which probably figured it'd be 40-0 Pats by the middle of the 2nd quarter, and so planned endless tributes to Bruschi. But the best laid plans of mice and men, y'know? Instead, they plowed ahead...blah blah blah Bruschi...blah blah blah Bruschi...oh yeah, the Bills scored a few plays ago, we'll show you a replay sometime, now lets go to Suzy with Bruschi's wife..blah blah blah Bruschi.I tuned in for a football game. And there was actually one going on! But it was a sideshow to the ESPN: Behind The Football episode "The Teddy Bruschi Story" that was actually on last night. Exactly. What an annoying joke of a "game" broadcast that was. I know more about Ted Bruschi then I ever, ever wanted to know or care to. I honestly could care less about the personal lives of players. Quote

I can't blame him for all the stupid drama surrounding his return, he just wanted to play football. ESPN, the NFL, CBS, FOX, and anyone else involved that overly dramaticized this needs to stop watching Days of our Lives before gameday. Quote
