HoosierCat Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW/Featu...r/2005/mvp6.htmBonus props to Wilkening for throwing this little tidbit out...This will be Palmer’s third shot at the Steelers in two seasons. His first pair of starts vs. Dick LeBeau’s defense didn’t go so well. Palmer threw an interception that was returned for a score in both contests, with the Bengals losing each time. However, Palmer has shown an ability to learn from his mistakes. Below are his passer ratings vs. every opponent he’s faced at least twice in his career, broken down by start: Team First start Second start Third start Baltimore 48.1 127.1 Nov.6 Cleveland 63.4 101.4 107.5 Pittsburgh 52.1 82.9 Sunday Tennessee 65.4 121.2 — Quote
Kirkendall Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 So you think this Palmer guy is good? Quote

bengalindian Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Yeah, he's not really anything. What gets me is that people say that Palmer has never been tested. Are you kidding me? On sportsline, some guy posted that we don't know yet that Palmer is the real deal because he hasn't played any good D's, and he specifically cited that he won't be the real deal after he plays the Steelers, Ravens and Colts. Hmmm, he didn't do anything against the Ravens last year did he? Some people are just plain dumb.WHO DEY!? Quote
Kirkendall Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 If any group of fans know the difference between a bad quarterback and a good quarterback, it's Bengals fans (no question) Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 If any group of fans know the difference between a bad quarterback and a good quarterback, it's Bengals fans (no question)Hey now, some of the Goats we had in here weren't bad QBs, they were just badly coached and protected. Klingler might have been good, but we'll never know, because he didn't master the art of throwing the ball from his backside, and with 10 out of 11 guys in his face while the line was standing there watching. ShulaSteakhouse Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Chicago doesn't have a good D? The Jags? (despite their ranking which is misleading as hell right now because they are playing extremely well on defense)Gimme a break! Quote

Akilli Smith was the best QB ever! (Hey, I almost said it with a straight face) Quote
Stripes Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 Odell Thurman is now also the number one rookie on their lists, ahead of the Cadillac.http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW/Featu...005/rookie6.htm Quote
scott91575 Posted October 20, 2005 Report Posted October 20, 2005 Honestly, so far I have to say LT is the MVP of the league. Palmer is a close number 2. If he can beat the Steelers Sunday he vaults to #1. Quote
clevelandbengal Posted October 20, 2005 Report Posted October 20, 2005 http://forums.espn.go.com/espn/thread?foru...PostID=15013579I found this link on the espn general message boards. I was suprised how many of them picked Carson as their mvp Quote
