So what if it was a close game against an 0-3 team.

I say this game is one the "old" team would have lost. Both the starting and backup centers, a key offensive position as we all know, go out with knee injuries. Thank God for Eric Stienbach being able to shift over a spot. That's unheard of, because playing center is far more than simply knowing the snap count. You've basically taken all your blocking schemes and practices, chucked 'em out the window, and started doing the job you watched the guy next to you do.

If I had to give out game balls, Eric Stienbach and Shayne (Mr. Money) Graham get one each. I find this stat very reassuring about our young QB:carsonsstats8vo.jpg As long as he keeps the INT column filled with zeros most of the time, the team should still win the game.

So let them say what they want about how the Bengals might not be as good as we all thought due to a close win at home. We got a tough win in a tough week for highly ranked teams. The New England Patriots LOST at home to the Chargers 40-17. How many of you picked that in your office pools after they beat the Steelers on the road last week? Add to that Denvers pummeling of Jacksonville at home, Tampon Bay eeking out a 3 point win at home against Detroit!?! Kansas City is currently stomping the living dog s**t out dog the Philadelphia Beagles 17-0. From these previously stated facts I expect to see this image stand for the season. :bengal:

Thats right we still beat a NFL team that has played tough in the past and played very well today. In this leauge any win is a good win. Any one can beat you on any given day, just ask New England!!

My game balls go to T.J. Houshmandzadeh on offense, Justin Smith on defense, and Shayne-o-matic (except one :P ) on special teams.

I have a feeling this win will move us up the rankings according to most sources. The Patriots will be below us. The Eagles will be below us, assuming Kansas City continues the whoopin', and Pittsburgh won't move above us. That leaves the Colts at number one, and the CINCINNATI BENGALS, more than likely, perched happily at NUMBER TWO.

We're a movin' on up.

You're overestimating the national media. Shannon Sharpe is not the exception to the rule.

Well Sharpe probably has us barely making the top ten, but I am referringh to the power rankings to be released after this week's games. The Bengals were already 4th or 5th in most rankings, and condsidering the losses the teams ahead of us have taken, to fall to 2-2, I can only see us moving upwards.
