bengalboomer7
Buck is right saying that next year they will only do the first half Monday night schedule and do the second half for "intriguing" matchups. I didn't know about the Steelers and Baltimore coming off Monday night games and then playing us. I love that! Our two hardest division road games and we get each of them while the other team is on short rest. Doesn't it just seem like a huge beacon of light is being focused on Cincy right now from the football gods

The greater power(s) want the Bengals to go far.

BengalszoneBilly
I think EVERY team should get a crack at MNF each year. 16 weeks - 32 teams. You get your turn, have a seat.It is beyond annoying seeing all the Pit, GB, NE etc games on MNF each year. I bet you wouldn't get much complaints from the teams either. All the short weeks those teams have to deal with, factor in injuries and that is a big pain in the Azz.I think it is a major snub to not get on MNF. All teams should get thier crack. THe league would actually benefit, the TV ratings woud probably go up and there is just as much chance for us to see bad teams as there is now.kingwilly is absolutely right. Fair is fair, and the only fair way is each team gets a turn once a year. It's really bizarre it's not that way. Well, not bizarre. Just a sign of who's really in charge=$$$
semiotter
Maybe, but the Bengals are America's favorite team. We're the NFL's sweetheart. The Cinderella of the AFC! Everyone's happy we're winning, minus the AFCN. And everyone loves CJ and Palmer's name is being thrown around with the word "elite". Besides, the Bengals' offense is fun to watch. It's a feelgood story... that means lots of money for the networks. I think it's silly, but more prime time for my team always makes me happy. ^.^Good post
Stripes
It does seem rather stupid that all teams don't get a Monday Night game. Sure, it would be a financial mistake, but in repsects to giving every team the exact same opportunity to reach the superbowl, then this should be evened out. The Cowboys get plenty of money having three Monday Night games a year, but that screws up their practice schedule and puts them at a disadvantage. The same goes for all the other teams that get lots of appearances year in and year out.
