JOZ21
So how does 3- 0 feel? Pretty good I bet. Well, you guys definately made my Bears humble. Kyle Orton looked like, well, a rookie. Turnovers just killed us. Overall I'm still thrilled with our defense. They shut the run done well. I thought our ground attack stayed consistent, Thomas Jones looked good again. On the Cincy side, 5 take aways is pretty good, lol. Chad Johnson is a stud (shocker). How many heart attacks took place when he went down? Anyway, nice job fellas.
thefrazz
Thanks for the props and the classy post.I thought it was going to be closer...but the run D is looking better then expected. Not as good as hoped, but better then expected - lolYour D is tough! It will get you far. Tho I'm not certain how far Orton can take you. You may be looking to put this year in the bag to allow Orton the year to learn...and if he can grow and learn, your offence could be a force in the nect 2-3 years. You need to pick up some more WR threats...you have the RB's and the D already in place.GL on the rest of the season...and do us a favor and whoop up on the other AFCN for us! bengalskyspy
I don't know why I take so much joy in this, but I went to the Bears message board and they are absolutlely in flames. I like leaving other teams in flames. They sound just like the Bengals fans for the last forever years. I must be a sadistic bastard to revel in their misery. I need counseling. This could get out of hand. They are, of course, blaming Orten. Also, ready to run their DBs out of town. The fact is that it was always our defense against their offense, and we dramatically won that matchup.Good teams make other teams look like they had a bad day. And it was a bad day for the the bears.

Cincy is a great team. but take a look at the total offense numbers. They are a little shocking. " The fact is it was always our defense against their offense, and we dramaticly won that matchup". Cincy - total offense=253, Bears total offense= 255. As i said turnovers killed us. Again, awesome showing yesterday, you guys are through your growing pains. Ours have just begun. If Orten can just limit his mistakes, I see the Bears in the playoffs (in a weak division and conference). T. Jones is the real deal and is very quick to hit the hole. Has anyone heard why C. Benson didn't get a carry?

Benson didn't get a carry? The coaching staff is still not confident in him picking up the blocking schemes. Also, with the way Jones is running, makes it tough to yank him. As far as the playoffs, I don't think Minny is toast yet. Yesterday was the pickmeup they needed. A little confidence goes a long way. The_Next_Big_Thing
Give Orton time and he'll be good. He looked just as good as Culpepper did when he played us!Da Bears will be fine next year, but you may have a QB controversy with Orton and Grossman. Fortunately for Bears fans, the controversy will be over as soon as Grossman is hurt, again.
BengalByTheBay
If possible, your d was even better than advertised. No way can you give up 5 picks and still be in the game. After the first 10 points that d was stout! I think the Bears are far & away the class of your division -- which is probably not saying much. Playoffs is playoffs though and your d should carry you there. Best of luck going forward.Oh yeah -- and you can now see why we're all so high on the Bengals -- opportunistic d and explosive offense. Teams may be able to keep us down for awhile, but we can really score in bunches. See you in the playoffs!
NYBengalfan
thank you JOZ21 you are the classiest opposing fan I have seen here in a while thank you.And I hope your Bears see better days this year and maybe playing in January
redsbengalsbucks
JOZ21 is a clas act and knows his football. I dont think the Bengals put the game away untill the middle of the fourth quarter and the Bears defense was the reason. You will not see an offense with as many weapons as the Bengals in your division, so I'm hoping you make the playoffs by running the table in your division and helping the Bengals out by beating the rest of the AFCN. Orton maybe a good QB soon but I think Blake might be better for your team short term. Orton needs to watch and learn from a veteran, also the o-coordinator for the Bears did not help by allowing him to keep dropping deep to throw long, short drops and quick hitters were there and they did not take advantage. Good Luck and I hope to be watching a rematch in Super Bowl XL
JOZ21
Thanks fellas, it's been fun BS'n with you guys about the game this week. I'll have to check in once in awhile to see what's goin on. There's way to much negativity on my board right now. Are they seriously fining CJ for the riverdance???? My wife and I were cracking up on Sunday.

My wife and I were cracking up on Sunday. as long as the fine was for " Bad Dancing " I'm OK with it. And now that you mention it ... his push ups weren't regulation either ....... tack some extra on that fine. At P.I. he'd have done a hundred till he got 'em right. Stripes
Thanks for the kind words JOZ21. That Chicago defense did all it could do, I was very impressed. I have a feeling Rudi Johnson was impressed too!Unless the Vikings can carry on what they did to the Saints, I'm picking the Bears to win the NFC North. bengalfreek
Lessee, Kyle Orton is benched at Perdue, but he's going to be a starting NFL QB? Sorry I just don't see that happening. I think just about every facet of the Bears is in place, but you still need a QB. Hopefully, Jerry Angelo will finally get dumped at the end of the season and you guys will go after a true signal caller. The Bears are a talented team.
