jjakq27
Haha not to ruin your fun or anything here, but the Bengals have been getting respect for the past three years since Marvin Lewis has come along. Not from ESPN, especially not from Berman! Or Michael Irvin...."whoa ho ho...same old Bungles"....." why would they draft David Pollack?"...."blah, blah, blah....."
Stripes
Michael Irvin questions every move Marvin makes. He was the only "expert" in favor of starting John Kitna, and he disagrees with about every draft pick we make.
bengalindian
Who?, I'm confused. Your sig, is it against the Browns, or are you just mocking us?And who cares about Michael Irvin...have you noticed how fake his hair looks?? Check it out. It's freakin' weird. WHO DEY AGAIN?
Gents,I wouldn't worry too much about what a burnt out coke head had to say. His commentary is lame and his insights are less than impressive. Unless he's talking about the old Cowboy's his comments are half assed, off the cuff bulls**t that can and will change at the drop of a hat. To be quite honest, my 9 year old has more insight about a Bengals game than this waste of spunk.
Kazkal
so jags is a night game? in as it will be live around us ? ;pif so gotta request that day off.....I worry about jags if they can hold manning to 10pts.....
Stripes
I worry about jags if they can hold manning to 10pts..... I like how we matchup with the Jags. We're much more of a physical team than the Colts, and we have a better running game (tough call). The Bears are up next though, and they are no gimme! duus
What they are saying is that the Vikings stink, and passing no judgment about the Bengals:Judge's CommentsHonestly, I hope it continues. Just fine with me ... we'll just keep proving them wrong.
jjakq27
Here's what the USAToday thought about yesterday's game. The game story was buried within another article about the Bears v. Lions game which was the last football article in the sports section. No pictures, rousing headlines.....barely a mention. For the Sam Wyche fans, there is a nice article about how Sam is coaching up PJ Losman in Buffalo and how he compares to Boomer, Montana and Steve Young. tmai1323
I couldn't firgure out this year, why we only had one primetime game... We had two last year, both sellouts and both wins... What else do the Bengals have to do to get respect..

HoosierCat
per hobson...The Bengals are hot, national media hot, following Sunday’s 37-8 victory over the Vikings. ESPN’s Tom Jackson, a Cincinnati resident, is headed to Paul Brown Stadium Wednesday to do the Bengals for a spot on next Sunday’s NFL Countdown. NFL Network is scheduled for Thursday, and Bengals public relations director Jack Brennan said Monday he has heard from “nine entities,” from ESPN in the past 36 hours. One is ESPN The Magazine seeking quarterback Carson Palmer. . .
Bobcat Bengal
At least we got TJ Jackson backing us. He's down by law, being from Cincy and everything. He'll talk us up when he gets the chance.Oh, don't forget Jaws and Merill Hodge.
williamnminor
Well, if you want respect, we just got it and it makes me nervous. On around the horn the Bengals were the second story behind the Vikes collapse and all of the panels seemed to think that we were going to the playoffs and Plasche from the LA Times guaranteed we would win the North ahead of Pittsburgh. The attention is nice, but it isearly and I would rather silently do our damage.
Stripes
it is early and I would rather silently do our damage. Agreed. I love to see the Bengals get credit, but not so early. I don't want this stuff getting to players heads. They can't be allowed to go into a game expecting to just leave with a win.We have Marvin to keep them in line, and that is good to know! :player:
redsfan2
The respect will come .... one game at a time ... but it'll come.
Geep
Salisbury was gushing during his MNF halftime comments over at ESPNews. He's starting the Carson for MVP campaign. Nice to hear.
CBin2k7
Some of this attention is eerily similar to the week leading up to the game with San Diego in 2001 after the 2-0 start. I really hope things don't turn out similar to that week.
