Very classy site! I have to say I'm impressed. Lots of knowledgable fans. Of course you get the goofball that think it will be a blow out, but that happens. Lots of respect for the Bengals and their fans. I had a hard time logging on too, going to try again later.

It will be a close game, Bengals will win however. 31-25.

Hi guys

visiting from the Purplepride board prior to Sunday and checking how you think things will go.

Thanks for the props about the board, we try to keep it good natured and pleasant for all - including visitors. Only time it gets ugly is when people come a trolling - then again don't all boards have that problem ?

Looking forward to Sunday and hope that we can improve on last weeks offensive mishaps. The OL will again be the focus of things for us and has to play better in order to try and get the run established - unlike Sunday - and get protetction for Culpepper - not enough of last week.

Defensively we've improved a lot and will be interesting to see how we fare against your passing game and also if we can actually get our heads together being on the road- which hasn't been a strong point in recent seasons.

Hopefully chat some more with you before Sunday - work and the timezones permitting !

I'm looking at a close game with no more than a TD in it whoever wins - course I'll go for the Vikes but I am biased of course

Here's to a good and injury free game for both sides !

Part of the problem with the Vikes having such a nightmare game last week is that it's tough to get a read on the team at all. It's almost like week 1 again. I'm with the majority here that thinks that you will have a far better game this week (much as I might wish you would not). Then again, when the schedule first came out my reaction to this week was much the same as it is now -- glad we're getting you this early in the season. I think that d changed too many parts to gel right away. I think it will grow very solid before the halfway point to the season.

On our side of the ball, the big surprise is that the offense is still having problems getting out of its own way. I know, that sounds stupid after CP shredding the clowns but outside of Rudi and TJ, I don't think we have come close to hitting our stride. Look out for Chris Perry this week -- he underperformed in Cleveland, but he can be a gamebreaker as an outlet/checkdown receiver. Our defense has many new pieces as well. A couple of those key pieces are rooks though, so while we should get better, it will take longer than your FA additions.

Looking forward to an interesting game and I expect to see a much tougher MN team than hit your field last week.

I'd love an injury free game, but don't you guys still have Michael Bennett?

lol... true and up to moment he's the supposedly the fittest of our RB's. I'm expecting him to have a good season mainly because he's a FA after this year a fully expect him to be on his way elsewhere.

I'd agree with BengalByTheBay regarding our D gelling, anytime you make big changes they do take time to come together. That was one thing that surprised everyone last week when they played well and yet the offence stunk the place up. We need to have a tough team take the field this week as playing on the road after being so poor last week, against a team that started with a win puts all the pressure on. If we lose and go to 0-2 then the media will be all over it and a lot of fans will be straight onto Tice's back looking for him to be replaced

One name to think about for the Vikings Offense. Scott Linehan. I don't even know who replaced him but it is very often difficult to replace your Off. Coordinator.

I am afraid the name Williams will be heard more often than Johnson this week. Pat Williams vs. Braham and Steinbach, Kevin vs. Bobbie. That is the matchups to watch this week.

You're thinking of Steve Loney being our new OC, in theory we're not supposed to be much different on offense than we were last year - despite the departure of a certain WR to the Raiders. Then again a lot of fans considered our O to be too conservative last year, so I'm not sure if thats a good thing or not. One big difference is that the OC this year is also coaching the OL, which is a throwback to our last great owner who wanted to wring the last dollar out of the franchise.
