longcut
Kenny Watson out for the season. Torn bicep will go on I.R. for season. Who might we pick up?
LABengalsFan09
Marvin just said it at his presser....that hurts....Perry needs to really bring it now.

oldschooler
Is Quincy Wilson on the practice squad? Bring 'em up! Yeah I`d be surprised if that wasn`t there next move...
AMC
Bring up the Q....that would be a perfect fit behind Rudi and CP...
Stripes
This is possibly a blessing in disguise. Of course I hate to see a guy lose his entire season.Wilson is more fit to be a backup to Rudi then Kenny Watson. We already have our change of pace back, and I imagine Wilson could be more of a contributor than Watson would have been.Count me with the preseason Kenny Watson supporters, but this isn't all that bad of news from a team standpoint. w8th
Probably only hurts a great deal if Chris Perry gets hurt. Neither Rudi or Quincy are "3rd down" backs... I don't think they have a 3rd down backup now to CP.
Kirkendall
Marvin just said it at his presser....that hurts....Perry needs to really bring it now. Thank god we have a football player with the first name, Quincy.
TJJackson
Bring up Quincy.I love Kenny Watson, but injuries happen, and you have to replace injured players.
kingwilly
How about Quentin Griffith?

Bobcat Bengal
That's too bad.Watson was a good player when he got the chance.
turningpoint
or even better chris henry gets to suite up, but we can;t just have 2 rb's...so i assume we search the wire or sign quincy.

The_Next_Big_Thing
Quincy RB will end up on the roster now.
bengalfreek
According to Lewis, they may just go with three backs for now. He pointed out that Jeremy Johnson can also take snaps at RB while they move a TE to FB. ML also said that they often only dress three RB's on Sunday anyway. Dadraftnick
Maybe they will pick up Antajj Hawthorne now and IR Mathias Askew.Marvin said they might go with 3 RB's. I think Askew sprained an ovary or scratched a toenail. Is that guy ever going to see an NFL snap? Marvin usually gets rid a guy as soon as he gets injured. So, I cant figure out how this guy keeps his spot.
JohnsonX5
That's too bad.Watson was a good player when he got the chance.I agree. I always thought he was a quality third string running back. And don't forget that he was a decent special teams contributor that made about a tackle a game last season and even had one on Sunday against the Browns. Replacing Watson on special teams may play a role in what Marvin decides to do next.
HoosierCat
Marvin also raised the possibility of going with 3 backs (Rudi, Perry, JJ) and adding some place else on the roster...not necessarily a bad idea...Hunt, perchance? Bengalbob
Guys, don't forget that Kenny Watson was a solid special teamer. Can Quincy Morgan fill that hole? I don't remember him returning or covering kicks during the pre-season, a role that Watson filled well. My guess is that ML will fill the roster spot with someone who can contribute on special teams. How about a Phoenix named Cliff Russell!?!?
sodikart
Quincy Wilson did cover kicks in preseason i dont know if he made a tackle on special teams though. I think he would be a good back up to CP and Rudi because i think he has a lil CP and a lil Rudi in him. Hes powerful like Rudi but seems to have some quickness and can catch the ball out of the back field pretty well.
kingwilly
So the question is:With Watson done, who will best help?a) a PS RB with unproven RB skills (Q.Wilson) a PS WR who can play special teams during returns (J. Broussard)c) a FA who can do both (Quentin Griffith as an ex.)d) a Defensive player from the PS or FA.didn't want to do an offical poll, too annoying. Sportsdoc
I guess schobel could catch passes on 3rd down..........Would they pick up a RB or a special teams guy if that was the choice since Kenny did both?
schweinhart
This is possibly a blessing in disguise. Of course I hate to see a guy lose his entire season.Wilson is more fit to be a backup to Rudi then Kenny Watson. We already have our change of pace back, and I imagine Wilson could be more of a contributor than Watson would have been.Count me with the preseason Kenny Watson supporters, but this isn't all that bad of news from a team standpoint. It was definitely a blessing w/o any disguise for Chris Perry because it looks like a matter of time IMO before the Bengals realize they're gonna need a better runner between the tackles and blitz blocker than Perry as a 3rd down back. For the team, the loss of Watson is a real blow. He was the lead blocker for KRs split deep w/ Tab Perry and was a high impact blocker who flat out blew people up whether on KRs or in the backfield. Plus, if Perry got either injured or saw less playing time due to lack of production, Watson would've not only been able to step in but would've been an upgrade over Perry IMO.There's no way Wilson is anywhere close to being able to do what Watson did in any facet as 3rd down back, Rudi backup, or special teamer. JJ is better suited and I think it'd be a wasted roster spot to bring of Wilson because I doubt he'd make the 45-man active roster for the whole year.If they go w/ RB, I'd rather see them go with Mike Cloud, who has KR experience, can play other special teams, and can actually play RB in the NFL -- even over Quentin Griffin. The downside w/ Cloud is he ain't a receiver. An intriguing option out there is Alex Haynes, who can ran and catch and has good size but was cut from the Ratbird practice squad last week. But I think they look at LT because of Levi hobbling around. kingwilly
Hmm...didn't consider that. They do seem thin at Tackle. They cut Reese Hicks, back a bit. There is not much out there on the market.Guys need to stay healthy that is for sure!
