Kevin Walter

Kevin Walter looked great today as a 4th wide reciever. His cuts were solid, his catches were great, and he even made a great special teams tackle on a kickoff while getting held. It might just be me, but it seems that he is still competing with K.Washington to be the 3rd WR. He might have even won it today.

Another weapon for the offense.

NO YDS AVG LG TD

4 47 11.8 20 1

And 2 tackles.

He did look great, and that tells me beyond all doubt that Washington's days as a Bengal are numbered.  Henry and Walter look to be the right guys to catch the football after Chad and T.J.

KWash is definitely in the doghouse, and I think Henry shows enough talent to soon move up to #3. Walter was solid today, so I expect some more PT for him (though I think #3 might be out of reach).

I'd like to see Tab some on offense.

Give me the possession receiver, Kevin Walter, as the third receiver. If he hasn't earned the spot yet, then it is a very sad thing.

I agree with CS85...if Walter hasn't earned a spot in the regular rotation yet, then that is truly sad. He looked great today, and his TD catch was AWESOME!!!!

K-Walt :player: :player: :player:

The # spot is very interchangable today IMO.

Walter is a very valuable possaesion recivers he wil make the tough 5 yd catch across the middle, while Henry is a different type of #3 he's the guy that goes on the outside and stretches the field and TJ takes the slot. All i know is i think for the 1st time in a long time I really wasn't that worried CJ was out for a couple series.

If Henry, TJ, or Walter go down the good thing is our Offense won't miss a beat.

Anyways Washington is coming off an injurygive him some time, and i think he could and will be doing things tj and henry or Walter can do that well, and that's being a big physcial reciver that can stretch the field and fight for the ball and come up with it most of the time. He also seems to have a knack for finind a hole in the D and get's huge yardage plays once a game.

I have to admit I was one of the non-believers in Walters. He has looked ten times better this year than he ever did before and I hope that continues. I think you will see a solid game out of at least one of Kdub, Walters or Henry each week, it will just depend on the situation because they all can exploit different defenses in diverse ways. Glad to see Walters step up and give the offense the boost it needed today, but I think you might see Washington or Henry step up next week and do simalar things.

It was nice to be able to say that CJ walking off was bad but not the end of the game for us like it would have been in recent history. The Bengals have a wicked WR's corp.

Obviously he's moved into the regular rotation, but I'm not ready to move him ahead of Kelley Washington yet. You don't drop a guy down the depth chart because of an injury. The only difference now is we can count on both K-Washington AND K-Walter. We don't have to choose one over the other. Just enjoy the fact we have so many reliable options at WR. Look around the league at some of the WR units other teams have, then look at the Bengals with a talented young guy like Chris Henry not even activated for the game yesterday. LOL ... ya gotta love the depth we have at WR!

WHO DEY!!

Well said. They're different types of weapons. It's great to have a Ricky Proehl-like possession guy who flies under the radar a bit. Lapham said yesterday exactly what I told my wife -- all he does is catch the ball. Reminds me of Steve Kreider's role back in the day, there's always room for a weapon like that.

So long as it ain't King Kevin of Slotdom.

Walter keeps meeting the challenges at WR and exceeding them. CP has a lot of confidence in Walter to boot.

But the Clowns secondary w/o Baxter may be one of the worst in recorded NFL history. I'll have to see Walter clear another hurdle next week vs. a tough bunch of DBs before I believe he's inching his way toward being for real as a WR.

Washington and Chris Henry are the home run threats.

Uhm, uh, Washington is a "home run threat"? Are you serious?

Yeah, Washington IS a home run threat.

In every sense of the word.

He played for the Marlins organization along with Jevon Walker.

Kelly will be fine.
