Yeah, now that you mention it I guess it is a nice warning. But here's the actual story on the name. (I'll try to keep it short.)

A very long time ago, in a high school far away, I was lining up at DE during practice, and I'm killing the guy in front of me. No kidding, time and time again I was whipping the OT with outside moves. So naturally he started cheating. That involved a couple of things, but mostly he'd set up wider and wider. After being slowed by this trick for a few snaps I felt like the blocker was now perfectly set up for an inside move so just before the snap I began to cheat inside. Sounds reasonable, right? After all, the OT was in his stance and couldn't move. Meanwhile, I'm now so far inside that I'm closer to the OG.

Sadly, I was quickly informed that I had gotten greedy and was completely ignoring down and distance as well as my run defense responsibilities. And I learned of this when I heard the head coach stop the action by blowing a whistle before screaming out my last name. Then he roared..."I guess it's okay if you keep lining up in the wrong spot as long as you keep running around like your hair is on fire."

Then he informed me of how many laps I owed him after practice.

Thus, a nickname was born. A nickname that everyone else forgot in a couple of weeks, but somehow I never did. So decades later when it came time to pick a user name for a football message board....

wow satan is a rookie, but he has a very old soul, you can always tell by the eye's. i must have made some kind of an impression for only 47 post's. i guess you would then have to consider the hour in which they were made, on average 3 a.m. at that drunken hour i'm likely to say just about anything that might get a responce.
