HoosierCat
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-b...ov=ap&type=lgnsAnother good move by Romeo, IMHO. Ray isn't the biggest or the youngest but he's a gamer; if he's healthy he'll make some noise.
Stripes
I agree. Romeo Crennel has had plenty of opportunities to see what Mickens can do, being a former Jet. The Browns need anyone they can get, but this was a solid signing.
JPW
Well with McCutcheon's health being questionable they sure needed to pick up somebody.
LesterLyles
Best nickel in the game over the last 10 years but has been only so-so as a starter. Actually was very good as a starter the last fewgames in '98 when NY made that run to the AFCC. But on the other occasions he has started, he has decent. I do think Romeo will use him effectively, though> Regardless, it makes Cleveland better. I was sad to see him leave NY.
Who?
I love this signing, Lehan had a slight injury the other day so it makes it even better that we signed him. Phil Savage and Romeo Crennel = Teh s**t.
Who?
A guy that I'm hoping to see play some corner is our fourth round choice Antonio Perkins, he was quite the player at Oklahoma. He could probably fit in at the nickelback role with Mickens as the starting corner.

redsbengalsbucks
Sign a solid veteran at a question mark spot on defense, sounds like the Kevin Hardy signing for the Bengals a couple years ago. Another good move for the Brownies they may be good next year.

Ox
Problem is, as good as ol' mickey is, he is still just a nickel guy. I hope the browns don't expect this guy to start.

Yes he was, he's on our second team punt return I think replacing Northcutt.

LesterLyles
Liked I alluded to earlier, I always like Big Play Ray but I don't think CHad Johnson is shaking in his boots by any stretch. If tCleveklan d uses him as a NB over the next few years, that would be huge. he would blanket a PDub or whoever else would play the Bengals slot. JPW
he would blanket a PDub or whoever else would play the Bengals slot.If Warrick is % 100, he is quick enough to get separation out of the slot, on anybody ...
Who?
I really doubt Warrick will be at 100%, he just reminds me of Courtney Brown when it comes to that.
JPW
I really doubt Warrick will be at 100%, he just reminds me of Courtney Brown when it comes to that.Warrick was never hurt before late in the '03 season, and the reason that he has had an going problem with it is that, he tried to come back way too soon because the Bengals still had a shot at the play-offs.Does that sound like Courtney Brown to you ?By the way Warrick played very well in the first two games last year before suffering another leg injury. He also seems to be in the best shape of his life, he has put on muscle, is chiseled and looks fast to the coaches. Now we just need to make sure that he can still Play Football. If he can even play up to his level of '03 and the first two games last year, he is one of the best Slot receivers in the game.Kind of like your own Dennis Northcutt, only better. Who?
I don't think Peter Warrick is the better slot over Northcutt, Northcutt can at least stay healthy and produce.
